I have a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado and decided to get running boards. After checking the Chevrolet site and not wanting to pay too much I Purchased the APS 4" black Iboards. I have not been disappointed. The running boards are well constructed and were very easy to install. It took me just under an hour to accomplish the task. I would definitely recommend these running boards to anyone.
Recieved the steps on schedule in good condition. Install was straight forward. One thing i did different from the directions was I loosely attached the step to the brackets first. It was a lot easier doing it at the tailgate than laying on my back trying to hold everything up and put it together upside down. On my truck i did have to drill 4 1/8" holes which wasn't stated in the product description, I thought it was a bolt on install. Really happy with how sturdy they are and the way they look on the truck.
Quality, price and looks are great. Only thing I would suggest is say whether it is for trucks with our without DEF tanks. Mine does not have a DEF tank and made the front passenger bracket difficult to install. Maybe same boards with a different part number? Either way they are awesome and helps the wife get in and out a lot easier.
Installed on my 2016 Silverado Double Cab. Picked them because they looked like the old rotten ones and thought it would be easier. Went pretty well. Had to improvise just a little on two of the brackets. Took about four hours but that included taking off the old ones and going to buy a 13 mm rachet/wrench to mount the bottom bolts on the brackets where my sockets wouldn't fit because of limited space. I like the look. Time will tell on durability.
Install was quick and mounting hardware was correctly machined. The running board itself is flimsy and I really expect more for the $. I don't feel the running board should have large deflection when an average person/child uses the step. Especially on a single cab pickup truck.
