Good soap. The package they ship it in however is easily opened and subject to getting searched and pilfered during shipment.

My husband uses this soap to get the grease and oil off of his hands. it works great. It works better than any other bar soap.

I remember my grandpa always having a bar of this stuff on hand since he worked on cars a lot. I remember it being nice and coarse from the pumice bits to get off grime. Since I'm doing a lot of painting, I thought that would be perfect. While it smells great and nostalgic, the amount of grit that lava was always known for is nowhere to be found. On the bar a little, in the suds to wash your hands? Not at all. It also leaves your hands feeling a little dry afterward. Like pretty much everything from our youth, nothing is as it was and Lava is no exception. I'll use the bars I have (2 pack) but wouldn't buy again.

If your stores stocked Lava Bar Soap on a regular basis, I would not have to pay "extra" delivery charges, since I could buy it when I shop for groceries! Thanks,

Lava. Been using it my whole life. It's gritty. Real gritty. It gets the job done. In a gritty way. If you don't want gritty, stick with Dove. That's good for housework, and leaving your hands feeling real soft. But for every other kind of work get Lava.
