Product Details

Philips Avent Natural Response baby bottle nipple lets babies control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple's unique opening and tip only release milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple that mimics the soft feel of a breast. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. Every baby feeds differently and develops at their own pace. We’ve designed a range of flow rates so you can find the perfect one for your baby and personalize your bottle. We are transitioning to a pace-based flow navigation system. The Natural Response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's development. Start with the nipple that comes with the bottle. Try a lower flow if milk is leaking from baby’s mouth or baby is gulping. Try a higher flow if baby is playing with the nipple instead of drinking or seems frustrated. It is totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new feeding bottle. Use Philips Avent Natural baby bottles only with Philips Avent Natural Response nipples. ¹ IQVIA Health ProVoice Survey 2025, USA 4x Natural Response nipples, extra slow flow (Flow 1)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for free through the stellar product testing panel in exchange for my honest review! I was curious to try these because the Natural Response claim had me wondering if they'd really be that different. After using them for a few weeks, i think they're pretty close to perfect once you get the right flow. The no drip tip is actually the real deal surprisingly! My baby can take little breaks to breathe or look around without milk leaking everywhere. It makes feedings less stressful and less messy. Honestly, it saved us from a ton of outfit and bib changes. I love how the nipples don't just pour milk out, so you really need suction. The feedings became smoother and way more relaxed once we figured out the right flow level. The wide shape helped my baby to latch easily, and I think it helped reduce nipple confusion when we switch between bottle and breastfeeding. The silicone is soft but sturdy, and I haven't had any damage even after lots of washes. Speaking of which, The wide opening helps a lot, and the anti-colic valve pops out easily for a good deep clean. Overall, I found that I loved the control it gave my baby the most. It really mimics breastfeeding in the sense that they decide when to drink and when to rest, not the bottle. That, and the no-drip feature, really gave me peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nipple set was way too difficult of a flow for my newborn baby. She had to work quite hard during her feeding to receive a little bit of milk. I think that she would be more equipped to drink from this bottle/nipple set when she is a few more weeks old. I did like the wide shape and that it resembled a breast. I was given this nipple set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Stellar Product testing panel for sending me the avent natural response nipple set. I plan to continue to try and use the nipples. I'm impressed with the thickness of rubber but it has not been my babies favorite nipple. He is breastfed and he don't seem to stay latched like he does with other brands. I felt like the flow was slow even though he is only three months old.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the Avent Natural Response Nipple set. I wanted to love these nipples since they paired with the Avent glass bottle I've really enjoyed using, but unfortunately they didn't work for us. These nipples created a very shallow latch for my baby, which was especially difficult during a fragile time in our breastfeeding journey. I'm working hard to move toward exclusive breastfeeding, and this nipple shape made things harder. My lactation consultant specifically advised me to discontinue use due to its impact on my baby's latch and my comfort. As a result, I can't recommend it to other nursing families, especially those who are working through latch issues or trying to establish a strong breastfeeding relationship. While the nipple is easy to clean and well-made, that alone isn't enough to justify using it in our case. We've chosen not to continue with this product moving forward. I do hope Avent explores alternative nipple shapes or flow options in the future that are more supportive of breastfeeding goals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Avent Natural Response Nipple set for free to try out, and overall, I was really pleased with it! I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it worked very well for us, with just a couple of minor things I'd tweak. The no-drip tip is a great feature — I noticed it helped reduce mess and waste during feedings, which I really appreciated. My baby was able to comfortably pause to swallow and breathe while feeding without any leaking or dribbling, making the experience smoother for both of us. The flow rate felt like a good, natural pace for my little one. It wasn't too fast or too slow, and it mimicked breastfeeding well, which helped with our combination feeding routine. I could see this pace being perfect for a baby who's transitioning between breast and bottle, or for times when you want to encourage a more natural, paced feed. I also liked the wide shape and soft feel of the nipple — it made latching easy for my baby and seemed comfortable for them. Cleaning was simple too, with no hard-to-reach spots, which is a big plus for busy parents. What I liked most about these bottle nipples was how closely they resembled the breastfeeding experience. The natural feel and responsive flow helped make feeds feel calm and familiar for my baby. I'd definitely recommend them to other parents looking for a bottle nipple that supports a more natural feeding rhythm.
