I like these peanut butter cups I would compare them to the low sugar versions of Russell Stover. Each peanut butter butter cup has 2 g in net carbs per serving, 0 g added sugar and is gluten-free with zero artificial flavors. The box is a 14 count, one piece is 8 g of fat, 5 g of saturated fat & 2 grams of protein.
I really like the idea of diabetic friendly, packaged snacks and treats. These look really tasty and they have all the right words on the packaging to draw in diabetics BUT... The taste is seriously lacking. It looks like chocolate. It looks a little bit like peanut butter. It probably has some actual elements of those two things. It tastes like I don't ever want to eat it again. There's even a warning on the package not to give this to kids and keep it out of reach of children and pets. Is this poison? It's safe for a diabetic adult but not safe for a kid? I understand the pet part because chocolate is maybe in there. But what if Grandma wants to have a snack with her grandkids? Like I said, I like the idea of snacks and candy I can enjoy as a diabetic without worrying about spiking blood sugar. The taste, though, it's way off. The warnings on the labels are alarming.
If you're looking for a peanut butter cup that tastes like the name brand, then forget it. The texture is quite grainy, you can hardly taste the peanut butter and you can taste a little chocolate. It's definitely sweet enough so if you're JUST looking for something sweet, but diabetic friendly, it's okay.
If you’re on a Health kick and you still want something sweet and or chocolate. This will give you what you need a little bit. Originally it did taste like a bootleg Reesie cup, but it does have somewhat of an aftertaste. It will give you the piece of chocolate that you’re looking for but you’re probably going to be mad afterwards. This is a gray snack for those who are OK with the generic so to speak lol
I wasn't sure what to expect from these ReliOn Diabetic Snack Cups but they taste much better than I expected. Being diabetic I miss sweet snacks especially anything chocolate. They definitely aren't as sweet as regular chocolates but they do a nice job of satisfying my chocolate craving when it hits. My 8.4 oz box has 14 cups and as good as these are, this box might not last me long. I love that they're individually wrapped because it makes it easier to take them on the go. Each cup has 2g net carbs, 2g protein, 0g sugar, 90 calories, and are gluten free. Nothing beats the high sugar chocolates but these are a close alternative. I highly recommend these.
