2 Pack - Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, Hard as Wraps 0.45 oz

Bought to help strengthen my nails which were growing quite sturdy and strong already. Tried it twice (once under polish and once on its own) and ended up chucking it because it completely deteriorated my nails. They became flimsy and cracked and the outer layers of my nails have been peeling off ever since. I have since had to keep them filed very short as any growth immediately cracks and peels away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this as my nails are quite soft, easy to apply although the smell is strong, however as it adds a hard layer to your nails it is worth it. My nails feel strong and haven't cracked, would really recommend as it is a fab hardener unlike some others out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a long time fan of Sally Hansen's nail products, the repair lines in particular. So I was very eager to try this hardener especially as my nails are constantly breaking and brittle. I I have never found a product that is an all round solution to this problem (yes, I am also concious that nail health can be improved by good diet and plenty of water which I would say I have/do) and although I cannot say that this is 100% the best solution, the positives out weigh the negatives significantly. Firstly, it's a good size and easy application brush which can easily be used on the go if you needed. The smell is fairly mild considering it's a nail product so you'll be pleased to not be choked with fumes! I certainly noticed a difference in nail strength after continuous use over a 3 week period. Nails did not feel as weak as without the product and one coat was enough to last a good week even with hands enduring daily manual things such as washing, cleaning etc My only negative which is sadly a big point for me as I always like to have a little colour on my nails is that it doesn't really work well as a base coat. I found my nail polish to be less lasting than usual with a tendency to peel easily or chip more frequently. On occasion, some nails even had odd ridging effect on them while the product was used too. So overall I would certainly recommend this as a wear alone product. It does seem to help nails feel stronger. But if you're like me and you like to have some colour on top then it may not be best to use as a base coat too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this but sadly was let down, it took much longer than the 60 seconds stated to dry, did not leave my nails "hard as nails" at all. Once it had dried I could literally scrape it off my nails with minimal effort, not like acrylics at all! The only thing I could say was that my nails were very shiny for the few minutes it was on there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These nail wraps did help to harden my nails but I found it flaked easily and caused my nail varnish to chip. It is fast drying but I will wear it alone going forwards and not under colour nail varnish.
