My daughter started playing soccer this spring and these are a great fit. They slip right into a pair of mesh sleeves made of polyester and spandex that are lightweight, breathable, adjustable, and hand washable. The sleeves fit right above the ankles and below the knees, so the shin guard is able to protect the right areas of the leg. The recommended sizing is for kids between 4 ft. 7 in. to 5 ft. 3 in. in height, but they also work for someone who is a little shorter than that as well.

The elasticity maintains the guards in place on the legs but are still very comfortable. These guards will last our athlete for as long as they can fit her. Highly recommended and sensible product.
