I am very pleased with the ease of setup and installation. Connectivity is good, but I am concerned that when there is power outage as I experienced today; no footage between the time I left for work and returned home. There was a period of four hours no detection.
Using several CAM3's and one CAM4. Have found that the small white USB power cubes don't hold up. Two have failed after a year or so of use. Switching to a more robust cube, 2 amp or so capacity, seems to fix the problem. Cameras themselves are great, really like the low light color capability of the 4.
no RTSP means you're locked into their garbage app. the fist page of the app is a total effing nightmare if you happen to be unfortunate enough like me to have bought into the wyze ecosystem before you realized it's all garbage. these cameras are no different. wyze abandoned the watch software, my outdoor plug constantly needs unplugged and plugged back in, connections not consistent. light bulbs that have crapped out or stop responding. these people OBVIOUSLY do not use their products
The cameras are good for the price. When viewing the events I think it could be more user friendly. You should not have to view all cameras and should be able to go directly to the time and camera you are viewing. You should also be able to delete more than one camera event at a time. It takes to long to delete each event. Also my v3 camera doesn't always have events in color.
I bought 2 of the V3's on pre-order and have had issues with both of them. When you try to view the live stream, the image and clock are stuck at an earlier time. The Kb/s are changing like it is streaming, but the video never changes. If you View Playback, the timeline moves like it should, but the video never changes. Reboots and power cycles don't have any affect. I applied the new updates today and the app (ios) is up to date. I still have the same problem. My other 8 Wyze cams (V2 and outdoor) work just fine.
