This is an 8th generation iPad. Larger screen and latest technology. I have 2 other iPads that I also use plus 2 Samsung Tablets and the newest Samsung cell phone. Plus the newest Kindle Fire. I love keeping up with the newest technology and keeping my family in the know and updated with new technology.
Nice iPad, Sam's is a great place to shop because of their awesome warranty on what they sell. If you have any problems, Sam's will stand behind what they sell. We did exchange it for a 128 GB because my grandson realized how fast 32 GB fills up!! Would recommend getting the larger one. Also the silver one had a white trim around the screen which we didn't like. Space Grey has a black border around the screen.
Arrived in a secure package, was not damaged and arrived quickly and priced nicely. I was worried about it being too big but it is the perfect size. I bought it for my husband for his birthday and he loves it. Totally recommend.
I'm a long time Apple product user dating back to the G4 Mac! This is my first iPad purchase which will be used for teaching online yoga and other classes. While I find this experience great (with no complaints from students), I will likely upgrade to a newer M1 iPad model for better graphics/video features. With that mentioned, if all you'll be doing is consuming content like eBooks or audio books, streaming videos or taking notes, this iPad is OUTSTANDING! However, if you plan on doing photo/video editing, podcasting or other hardware intensive tasks, save up for an iPad Air or Pro. You'll be glad you did!
I had this tablet for about 3 days before deciding to return it. It is a great tablet if you're not doing anything constructive and its solely to please a kid who just watches YouTube or plays mobile games. Other than that, it was pretty much useless to me. I hated the fact that this product gives you no choice in additional storage and forces you to use their AppleID, iCloud, and by extension Google Drive, all crappy choices if you value any privacy. Their App Store policies are horrible and forces it's developers to produce far inferior products compared to it's competitor. Want to use your awesome GamePass to play your console games on your tablet? Not Compatible. Want to run your Antivirus and Firewall software? Sorry, you can only check the status and can't run an actual scan. Want to disable EXTREMELY intrusive features or Apps? Sorry, their policy prohibits it or makes it virtually useless. Oh, but what about these Apple products being virtually virus free? Sure, if you don't mind being monitored 24/7 by Apple/Google. Thanks but no thanks. Again, great for kids, with strong parental controls (like that ever happens). Other than that, no adult person in their right mind would use this product in it's current state. It's pretty, but that's it.
