I like to shop for quality items that will last me many years, and this brand and item fit that category. Nothing worse than working all day to get that Turkey and all the fixings just the way you want them , bring them to the table and realize you will need to use any old kitchen knife and a big serving fork... really takes the wow out of the prep! I learned my lesson, after that thanksgiving boo boo, I raced out get a carving set. I realized that it should be a good quality set because it will have to last and look good thru decades of holiday meals. Amongst all of the mediocre sets out there I was so happy to find a good quality set for much less than I thought I would have to pay. Zwilling is synonymous with quality so I feel very lucky and proud to have this set in my serving drawer!
I love giving this carving set as a wedding gift. The carving knife and fork are made in Germany of premium German steel to last a life time. Everyone needs a carving set sometime in their life and what a way to start a new life but with something that is beautiful, long lasting and useful!
I love carving sets. I pull mine out for a simple roast chicken on an average day in an average week. There is a reason we have carving sets. They work! And this gift-worthy set is a keeper. It is made with one of Zwilling's best quality steels so it will hold its edge as well as stand up to a lifetime of use. The innovative angled bolster is easy to grip, keeping the thumb and forefinger in the correct position for maximum control.
