[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this oven about four months ago to replace our 40 year old Monarch Oven. We installed it ourselves and have been very happy with it so far. I opted for the non-convection since I like to go by standard recipe instructions and didn't have any to have to fuss with baking time translations. The oven heart up fairly well but o was expecting it to heat up a bit fast for a new oven. That being said it has always baked everything perfectly and preciously. Truly my only complaint is that the fan runs from the time you turn it on and after baking to then cool it down. Perhaps it's user error but I wish there was a way to disable the fan so it's not continually running. Overall a great looking and working oven.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our old oven died after 30 years, we needed an update in terms of function and appearance. It may seem like a simple thing but being able to watch the temperature rise as I continue prep is very useful. And it shuts off when the time is up! Prior oven required manual shutoff. and its a real eye catcher. Will learn more as it gets used more.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this oven earlier this month and I'm still learning to use it. The only thing I have to get use to is the pre-heat feature. I hate having to wait for it to get to the temperature. I was used to my old oven which I guess was a dinosaur, because all I had to do was turn it to the temperature and put my food in the oven. But, like they say change is good.
In the 2 yrs we've tried to live with this, I've had things burn repeatedly due to the sensor insisting that it needs to warm up (preheat) and then takes an absurd amount of time. It often does NOT need to preheat further (already at say 425) but if you then need to reduce the heat in a recipe (bread) the sensor has been programmed to read a temp 40-50 lower than actual and it goes into preheat ... taking maybe 10-12 minutes, burning whatever is in there as all the elements are engaged to do the (unnecessary) preheat. Ridiculous. MANY comments about this in reviews. You have been warned.
This is replacing another Whirlpool single wall oven that was almost 19 years old! Our old one was great and didn’t give us any problems until the latch went bad, so hoping we have same results with this one. New one has the warming setting and think I will use this often.
