I honestly was not super impressed with this. It does feel good and there's not much of an odor- both positives- but it seems to wear off a little too soon in my opinion.
This product is literally a life saver I use it on everything and it literally has saved me from so many acne scars and I always use it after being sick so I don't start peeling around the nose and it works wonders
I've been using CeraVe Healing Ointment at night for the past five years, and it's still a staple in my skincare routine. It works wonders for sealing in moisture and calming any irritation, especially during colder months or after using active ingredients. The effectiveness is unmatched—it hydrates, soothes, and protects without clogging my pores or causing breakouts. One of the best things about it is the texture. It's rich and balmy but surprisingly lightweight. It melts into the skin and doesn't leave behind that heavy, greasy feel that most ointments do. I wake up with soft, calm skin every time. It's made with skin-loving ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid, which help restore and protect the skin barrier. The scent is basically non-existent, which I love—perfect for sensitive skin. The packaging is clean and practical. I've used both the tube and jar versions, and I appreciate that they offer options depending on how much you need. If you're looking for a reliable, no-fuss product to lock in moisture and give your skin some TLC, this is definitely one to keep on hand.
For a long time this product wasn't widely sold in Canada. I watched YouTubers constantly rave about this as a multi-purpose protectant for lips, hands, feet, scrapes, etc. so when it finally started showing up on shelves, I was excited to buy it, even though it's about 6x the cost of regular Vaseline. I've used Vaseline on my hands for a few years to deal with constant peeling skin around my nails. My first impression was very positive. It melted into the skin so much nicer than Vaseline. Within about 20-30 minutes, I didn't have greasy fingers. I was like “wow I can see why this is so well-liked, and why people pay more for it”. But then over the next few days I noticed that it doesn't really have any of the benefit that Vaseline does. At least for my particular use case. It does not prevent the skin peeling around my nails the way Vaseline does. So while I love that it has ceramides and other beneficial ingredients, and I love the way it feels compared to Vaseline, it just doesn't hit the same level of thickness/occlusion, which is the only reason I, personally, would use this product. So I probably won't repurchase. But if you're just looking for a well-formulated, light petrolatum based ointment, this would probably be great.
The ingredients are mineral oil, PARAFFIN, OZOKERITE, DIMETHICONE, HYALURONIC acid, sodium hydroxide, CERAMIDE 1, CERAMIDE 3, CERAMIDE 6-11, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, PHYTOSPHINGOSINE, CHOIESTEROl, sodium lauroyl lactylate, carBOMer, PANTHENOL, water, L-PROLINE, XANTHAN gum. I love that the package is easy to open and close. It's easy to store and to get access to the cream. This healing ointment works really well for when my hands get dry from working outside.
