Vornado - Axl Fan - Black

I have tried so many fans over the last 20 years to try & cool down our Great Room. Nothing helped unless you sat right in front of a fan. During the hot summer months our Great Room is difficult to keep cool. When our house was built they did not put enough vents in. I bought this fan & placed it near a vent. It is making a significant difference. I can tell if it is shut off as the room is too warm. This fan has made a huge difference. It is fairly quiet. At times it has an annoying click when on high setting. Plan to buy one more for another vent & that should make our great room very comfortable to sit in again .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nifty little fan! I really like how low profile and sleek it looks; it is also quite powerful even though it isn't a super large fan. The fan oscillates up and down far more than I expected, and I like that you are able to set the fan to a static angle if you want to, rather than having it oscillate constantly. This is the first fan I've owned that comes with a remote, and I love how convenient it is. The remote is also magnetic, so it sticks to the top of the fan - I've never seen this before and it's a great feature for people (like me) who often lose remotes! The cord is a little bit shorter than I expected, but I didn't find that it caused me any issues with finding somewhere to plug the fan in - it's just something to be aware of if you are purchasing this. Due to the shape, you also need a relatively large surface area to put it on, which means it isn't super convenient for something like a table top fan, but I haven't had any issues with that really so far. Overall, this is a great fan and I'm so excited to have it in my apartment this summer!

This fan is exactly what I've been looking for to use in our camper! The Vornado Low-Profile Oscillating fan pivots vertically and does a great job of keeping the air flowing. The fan is kind of loud on the highest setting, but it isn't so loud it's bothersome. I appreciate the remote control, which also allows you to control the fan speed and change the angle of the air flow. This is great for the camper bunks and allows the air to actually reach both of my kiddos, as opposed to fans that oscillate horizontally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this for about a week now in my very hot apartment. The normal temperature is about 83 degrees. I keep this fan in my bedroom, I can feel a breeze throughout the rest of my apartment. If I angle the fan towards the hallway, I can cool down multiple rooms at a time. The breeze that it produces is way better than any other fan I've used before. I love that it sweeps the air from top to bottom, I find it's much more effective at cooling down an area than a fan that oscillates from side to side. When I'm near it, it feels like an air conditioner. It actually feels like it cools down the air instead of only pushing it around. The appliance itself is very sleek in appearance. It takes up a minimal amount of floor space and doesn't look overwhelming or distracting. The magnetic remote works well from any direction, and I can magnetize it to my bed, which I love. There are multiple settings that cover a huge array of differences. The lowest setting is absolutely silent, but still works wonderfully. The highest setting is my favorite for sleeping because I need white noise. The sound is loud enough for me to fall asleep to, without being annoying. There is sometimes a vibration or rumble that happens on the high setting, but I don't know if that's because it might have sucked up my cats fur, lol. If not, it's not a sound that I mind. I prefer this over my standing fan, and I also prefer it over the built in air conditioner I have. I'm hoping it saves on energy efficiency if I don't use the big clunky one anymore.
