It washes the dishes for you! You know how you'd have to use a brush or a rag or a sponge with dish soap? Not anymore! You put the dishes in this thing before washing them, perhaps just a quick rinse, put some special soap just for dishes in (cascade preferably) and turn it on. A few hrs later, clean dishes. Gotta try it!

Had to replace our 25 year old original GE dishwasher with this new upgraded one. What I can say in the less than one month of owning it is that it is extremely quiet and it fit perfectly where the older one was. This is a very simple dishwasher to operate with not a lot of bells and whistles which I like personally. The price was also great during the 4th of July specials!

Well time for a new dishwasher! Our last one was 25 years old. So, we went with the GE energy star dishwasher. GE has been around forever and its American made. Keeping our dollars in the USA is important and buying an appliance with a good history was also important.

I would highly recommend this dishwasher! Great capacity, very quiet and looks great in my new kitchen. A variety of cycles and all are very capable of tackling the dirtiest dishes! Really like the upper shelf for utensils and the shelves move so smoothly, its actually fun to load and unload the dishwasher!

I've only had the dishwasher a short while and have run it three times. I'm pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. I wish the various options were explained; I imagine I'll just be using the normal wash. Plus I'm unsure of the safe way to load dishes/bowls/pots, etc. I don't like that the back section allows only for large dinner plates. I run out of room for my saucers and bread plates which are too small for these slots. Also, the "clean" light seems to remain on so I've been restarting and then cancelling a cycle just to turn it off. A bit frustrating. That could be due to the fact that I'm 73 and this is a replacement for my 30 year old dishwasher which finally died.
