Onn Am/Fm Digital Clock Radio

If you're just buying this for the large easy to read numbers, you'll be happy. If you need the alarm, you'll be late. Took 30 mins to figure out how to set alarm. I could barely hear the alarm! Bought it at my local Walmart last week and returning it tomorrow!

I picked up one of these today at my local Walmart. After setting it up and trying out the alarm and radio, I'm really quite happy with it. The display is large enough to read from across the room, and it's also dimmable. I especially appreciate the dual alarms and the battery backup for when power goes out. I do not understand some of the negative reviews I've read. I found setting it up according to the directions quite easy. To enable an alarm once you've set it up, just push its button once. The alarm time is displayed, and the alarm on indicator will light to tell you the alarm is on. To disable an alarm, press its button and release. The alarm time is displayed. Press the alarm button again and the alarm on indicator goes out. Alternately, just quickly press an alarm button twice to disable its alarm. When using the alarm with the buzzer (really it's a beep tone), the alarm starts sounding at a very low volume, and increases in volume steadily over several seconds until it reaches its programmed maximum volume. I have mine set to 17, and it's loud enough to wake the dead. So, don't be fooled by the low initial volume when the alarm starts to go off. With the radio antenna extended fully, FM reception is better than I expected, and is at least listenable. AM is predictably horrible sounding. I didn't want a radio with my alarm clock, but for only $10 having a radio doesn't hurt anything. Cheers.

This item is a piece of junk. It does not work. The numbers are not readable, and the radio does not work. It's a waste of your money.

The radio had good reception and fair tonal quality, the time and alarm were a little cumbersome to set, but doable. I liked this clock for the money and would have kept it if not for one problem - the alarm, once programmed, cannot be deactivated. The alarm will go off every day of the week, every day of the year at whatever time you set it. I only need an alarm about three times a month, so this clock got returned.

We brought 2 alarm clocks for our daughter's. We absolutely love them, we love the fact it has to setting for the alarm nd love how you can adjust the volume too. Especially since we have one child who will get up with the first alarm, unlike our child who will get up when the alarm clock is going off for the fourth time. We pretty much had this alarm clock figured out n day one. Even figured out that if you hit the alarm button, it would turn the alarm off on the weekends and that Sunday night. You just hit the alarm button to turn it back on. I don't understand how or why it is so complicated for others. When our 8 year old and our 9 year old can figure out this alarm clock with no problems. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.
