Samsung - 36" Built-In Gas Cooktop with WiFi - Stainless Steel

We just bought this smart gas cooktop for my parents a few weeks ago and we're in love with it. The cooking temperature is amazing and the build quality is superb. We bought it mainly for its smart integration features and they don't disappoint. My parents are elderly now and I have a fear of them leaving a burner on and going to sleep, but with this cooktop thats a thing of the past. Besides the fact I can check if a burner is left on right from the app, I programmed several routines to alert us to our smartphones if a burner has been left on for different durations. I even get alerts on my Samsung Bespoke fridge on the family hub. If you don't carry your phone around the house, each knob has an individual blue LED to alert anyone which burner is on at a glance. This is exactly what we were looking for and would recommend 100%. On a side note the WIFI/bluetooth transmitter sticks out about 2 inches from the back of the unit, so make sure you have enough clearance behind the cooktop to accommodate for it. You can remove it and it does have a cover to replace it, but for us that would have defeated the purpose for which we bought it. We did have a granite backsplash about an inch behind our old one that we had to alter to make it fit, but it was totally worth it!

i would give it 5 stars except. i cleaned the metel burners with oven cleaner and some of the solvant got on the front panel now it is discolored and it cannot be replaced. be very careful when cleaning near the knobs and front panel. samsung basically told me tough luck:(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice build quality. Easy to clean thanks to the removable grates and design of the pan area. Appreciate the illuminated knobs which it easy to know we forgot to turn it off. Also like the continuous flat surface across all the burners.

we replaced an older cooktop of another brand. the samsung has some serious iron for the cooking grids. the grill and contraols are black; the cooking grids are dark gray. we noticed immediate improvement in gas/flame output. having the big burner in the middle increases safety. same for the knobs all in a row in front rather than as a pack in the middle. the grill surface does sit a little higher than the previous model buy our tallest pots still stay below the exhaust fan in the overhead microwave. the knob lights indicate that a burner is on from just a glance at the unit (more safety). overall, it works well and meets our desires. i could care less about the wi-fi.

i bought this cooktop and many other samsung products last november. the covid delayed the delivery of my kitchen cabinets hence i did not have a chance to install the cooktop until yesterday (didn't have a cabinet to put it on until now). now realizing that one burner cap is missing. only 4 found in the box. samsung refused to give me the missing cap, stating that it has past 30 days. very disappointing that after spending over $10,000 on samsung products and am refused to get a missing cap! the website for parts is hard to use also. not clear on what cap i am supposed to use. this info is not in the manual either! very unhappy customer here!
