Frigidaire - 18.3 Cu. Ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator - Stainless steel

We are on our second fridge. The first was developing ice in the freezer (not in the way it should) and down into the fridge. This was replaced for us thankfully. Our only real complaint about the appliance is that once its closed, there is so much suction that you have to wait a minute before opening it again, inconvenient, but not the end of the world.

The drawers space is just what we needed, the shelves are sturdy and large and the cooling settings use simple dials. We've been told over and over again that the simpler the fridge is, the easier and cheaper it is to repair. We are very satisfied this fridge. I

I've had this fridge/freezer for just under 6 months. 2 main pet-peeves: firstly, every time I close the fridge - if I don't apply enough force, the fridge door does not close fully. If I apply some force, the freezer door opens when I close fridge door. I had to install "child-proof" locks on both fridge and freezerdoor to prevent unneccessary opening. Secondly, the shelf with deli basket assembly broke after owning this fridge for 4 months. It was just before Christmas and I was busy so I didn't get to chat with an agent until after Christmas. I was informed that there is a 30 day window for defective shelves, and shelves are not part of 1-year warranty. I had not abused this deli shelf. I had placed cheese in it, as I always do. And yet, the back plastic frame of the glass shelf broke in the back and dropped the deli basket which also cracked. so I have a basket I can't use and a shelf that does not hold things because the plastic casing is broken. If I want to have this replaced, it is out of pocket. I would say these 2 issues are major enough that I will not recomment this fridge. In my mind, the plastic casing is defective and that's why it broke. I have owned various fridges over the years (25 years) and I've never had this issue with other manufacturers. Clearly to me, this is a faulty manufaturing. 2 stars only, because it does keep my food cold. Except I have 1 broken shelf and basket

On 2 occasions, I've discovered everything in my freezer completely thawed and fridge simply not cooling anymore, while the light inside the fridge indicates its powered on. Checked the dials still were set properly (never change them from the middle recommended settings), and unplugged for a few hours. Nothing other than the light turns on when I plugged it back in. Expensive to keep replacing my entire freezer contents! Also, from the day it was delivered and I removed the plastic, the freezer door has never stayed closed, so I attached little velcro strap to secure the door closed. Will be contacting the manufacturer tomorrow to ask if it can be serviced! Its only 9 months old

Recently got this Frigidaire fridge, and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with it. For the price, it's definitely a great deal. Feels sturdy and well built, so I don't have to worry about it being flimsy. Cools really well, no issues keeping everything fresh. Also, it's surprisingly quiet, which is a big plus. Overall, great value for money, and I'm happy with the purchase! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a solid fridge without breaking the bank.
