Evenflo Revolve180 LiteMax NXT Rotational Infant Car Seat (Rose Pink)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Straight out of the box I notice this car seat was sleek and not too heavy compared to some infant carriers have a lifted. I received this infant car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I was so excited to give it a try and couldn't wait to see how I felt it compared to my current. Setting the seat up to fit my little one was a breeze; the straps lift up with just the pull of a handle instead of having to be moved up one at a time manually which is SUCH an improvement to how they were with my first two because who the heck has time to mess with the clip holding the straps and then shove them through thin holes and all that mess….not me. The car seat was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Installation in the car was just as simple a gray bar on the front of the base pops open the base, you attach the tethers to the anchors in your car, tighten them up, close the top down and wham bam you're off to your destination. I was most excited about the one handed swivel that the base does. I have never had a swivel car seat before but with this being baby number three I always have my hands full of something so the idea of being able to turn the car seat to face me with one hand and sit baby in it was so appealing. I often baby wear out in public so having the swivel when I return baby to her car seat and take her out has helped me have piece of mind that I'm not going to accidentally bump baby's head on the car or the seat while trying to put her in at an odd angle (I may or may not have accidentally bumped a head or two with my older kids….yikes!). The one handed swivel is everything it was cracked up to be; it is so easy to push the button and turn at the same time.I will say there was a slight adjustment period for me where I had to figure out which way to turn my hand to push and pull at once (I do have small hands though) but once I figured it out it's a breeze and like I said easily my favorite feature of the whole thing! A couple things I do not love about the car seat itself it that it does take two hand to pull the carry handle up into place when you are ready to take the seat out and carry it somewhere. I got spoiled with my original infant seat because it has a one hand handle release and like I mentioned above I am all for one handed stuff. It seems kinda silly to me that they have a one handed swivel on the seat but not a one handed handle release you'd think they'd make it all one handed. I also feel like this seat has my little one sitting up a lot straighter than my original and I have noticed when she falls asleep in the car it causes her head to flop forward a whole lot, where as, she did not have that problem in her other seat. The seat is also more narrow than her original seat and some people might not like that but I feel like it keeps her more cushioned around the sides but there are definitely roomier infant seats on the market if you'd rather you baby have space or if they just hate being squished. This car seat is also equipped with smart features in the chest clip which are cool and bring piece of mind on some parts but for me the temperature feature just added more stress to my life. We live in the south and it is summer time which means it's hotter than blazes at any given point in the day and cars get hot. Anytime we would get in the car to go somewhere my phone would immediately start hollering that the ambient temperature is too high. Which I understand it definitely was hot but man the cars gotta have time to cool and when you have a preschooler crying because they are sweating and an elementary age kid whining cause they can't feel the air the last thing you need is your phone adding to the noise. Trust me I know it's hot I've already sweat through 5 shirts and feel like I peed myself and it's only 10am! I know babies can easily over heat in a car seat but let's be real that's not going to happen in the time it takes the car to cool and my other two kids have survived southern summers so I think I could live without that feature. I do however LOVE that the app tells me if the chest clip has come unbuckled. I currently have a one row car, three kids, and a mischievous preschooler so it's crammed travels and while he means no harm I am terrified that he will one day reach over and unbuckle his sister mid drive and I'd never be the wiser but with this handy feature I will now know. I can honestly say that part has brought me so much peace of mind. The car seat will also let you know if you left baby behind in the car. It works by detecting that the chest clip is buckled but you are not near the car seat. While I have never left my baby behind I did get to witness this feature when previously mentioned preschooler buckled the clip in the house while I was downstairs and my app thought I left baby. Overall I recommend this car seat. It is easy to use, install, and the added safety features in the chest clip do help bring some peace of mind.

Another standout feature is how lightweight it is compared to other car seats I've used. That said, I did notice a couple of minor drawbacks. The seat is a bit narrow, and while my baby fits well now, I wish some of the padding was removable to create more room as they grow. Larger babies might feel a little snug over time. My biggest challenge was installing the base securely. I have leather seats in a compact SUV, and even with the LATCH system, the base didn't tighten down as firmly as I'd like. Some of this could be due to the slickness of the leather or the tighter spacing between anchors in a smaller SUV, but it took a few tries to feel fully confident in the fit. Despite these small issues, I absolutely love this car seat for its smooth rotation, easy click-in feature, and lightweight design. It's made my life so much easier, and the pros far outweigh the cons. If you're looking for a convenient, user-friendly infant seat, this one is definitely worth considering! I have two children now, and I have installed my fair share of car seats. This one is really very easy to install and results in a very secure installation with minimal effort (no yanking or leverage needed). The base is adjustable to the seat incline as well, meaning that it's incredibly easy to level the car seat, and the indicator on the base makes it simple to gauge whether or not it has been installed correctly. When it comes down to it, this is as easy as it gets and you're not going to question whether or not it's secure when you're done. It feels secure and there are some safeguards on the car seat itself to ensure it's been done correctly. As for the seat itself, it is light and easy to maneuver. Despite feeling extra lightweight, the padding is still comfortable on the seat. There's no grip on the handle, so that can feel slippery and uncomfortable. There's a button on each side to rotate it when it's installed in the base, but you only have to press one side. The movement is smooth and easy and oh, so convenient for placing baby in and getting her buckled. The safety alerts (via an app on your phone) are a nice touch, especially for warmer climates where precooling the car might be important (Hello, Arizona!). The car seat is not as large as some, so it should fit in smaller vehicles or vehicles that have less back row leg clearance.

The car seat was quite quick and easy to install in our car, despite it being a tight squeeze, so having the ability to rotate one-handed to get the baby out makes things so much easier. As a mama whose wrists are prone to being sore, this has been a game-changer. My favorite safety feature (of the many this seat offers) is the sensor safe feature, which was super easy to connect to and gives you peace of mind that your baby is safely in their seat. I also appreciate the additional safety features to let you know if the baby is unattended or in their seat too long. Having a car seat that is Greenguard Gold Certified is very important to us, so that is a huge bonus! This seat goes above and beyond to provide luxury features at an affordable price point. The rotational feature is very easy to use and helps eliminate some of the fuss when getting my little one in and out which is always a win. I love that rotating it towards me allows me to reach and see the buckles and straps better, making it a smoother process. This car seat is also very lightweight for when I carry it in and out of places. The no re-thread harness also made it very quick to make adjustments and get the right fit for my baby. Additionally, the sensor safe clip is a nice feature for extra peace of mind, especially since my curious toddler likes to sometimes unbuckle my baby while we're loading into the car, so while I always double check its still nice to know that I would get the alert if I ever missed it. I also like that the base has a green / red lock symbol so you know the seat is securely in place after rotating it. To top it all off, installation was very straightforward and simple!
