My overall impression of this car seat was that it was an ingenious idea and that I wish I'd had it with my other children! I think the look was pretty standard, if not a little bare bones/budget-feeling, but the upgrades in the handle and buckle totally made up for that!! The built-in tech features were totally new to me and a welcome addition that I was happy to take just a few minutes to set up. That being said, I do think there are just a couple of glitches still to be worked through to perfect it so as to not set off unnecessary alerts (though I do appreciate more vs less when it comes to safety!). The setting options are vast and fairly easy to customize in the app, though I do need to spend a little more time selecting and saving favorites for it to cycle through. I LOVE the Siri option to activate it when I'm driving. We got to test the soothing capabilities with my newborn and were absolutely blown away when they worked like a charm. Baby's crying stopped almost immediately on multiple occasions. I love that big siblings can activate it on the side of the car seat to help me too while we're driving or out and about. My favorite safety feature of the car seat is the ability to tell you if you forgot baby or if baby is too hot or not properly clipped in. These are all things I worry about as a busy mom and so the app provides me instant peace of mind. I did want to mention that I found the adjustment of the car seat and also the base inside the car to be a bit trickier than alternative brands that I've used in the past. That being said, the fact that a base is included make it a quick process to use once you get it installed. I love this product and would recommend to all new parents!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat has been such a pleasant surprise!!! The SensorySoothe feature is honestly brilliant.. I can play calming music and soft lights right from the handle using the app on my phone. I didn't think it would make a big difference, but it really helps settle my baby down, especially during longer drives or when we're stuck in traffic. The seat itself feels really soft and cozy and my baby seems super comfortable in it. I also like knowing the fabric is made from recycled materials without any added chemicals. It's small details like that that make me feel like Evenflo actually thought about parents when designing this! Another thing I've come to really appreciate is the SensorSafe alerts. It notifies me if the car gets too hot or if the buckle comes undone. I didn't realize how much peace of mind that would give me until I had it.. It just makes me feel a little more in control when I can't see everything from the driver's seat. Install was quick and painless - which is saying a lot because car seats usually stress me out. It clicks in snug and feels really secure. Overall, this seat checks all the boxes.. safe, comfortable, easy to use, and actually helps keep my baby calm. I'd definitely recommend it to other parents, especially if you're looking for something a little more modern and intuitive. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with the Evenflo LiteMax NXT Infant Car Seat with SensorySoothe. In the past, my child did not get along with being strapped into a car seat, making car rides extremely dreadful for us both. Since receiving this car seat as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I have noticed what a difference it has made for my son, and it is all thanks to the features that standout on this product that aren't like any other car seat I have ever seen. Setup was extremely easy both with the SensorySoothe clip connectivity to my phone as well as installing the base which has a color indicator level to let you know when it has been properly installed. Not only is the car seat light weight, but the fabric is ecofriendly and easy to wipe clean. The best part about the car seat other than the fact my son loves the LED colored handlebar which also plays music and sounds, is the SensorySoothe clip which alerts my phone with notifications. If my child is buckled or unbuckled, if it's too hot in the vehicle, or if he has been left in his car seat too long letting us know we need to stop for a break. I have already been stopped by multiple people when I am out in public with my son, asking about the car seat or making comments about how cool the car seat is just by the way it looks. The Evenflo app. has many options to change the sounds and lights, it is not limited to the ones already programmed on the car seat itself. The only component I have found to be a bit of a struggle for me is the cover that goes around the clip between my son's legs. The cover wants to slip off the buckle too easily to the point I just left it off indefinitely because it's not worth the time and effort to have to try and put it back in place every time. By no means does that turn me away from this product as I have found the car seat to be exceptionally made with so many details in mind for both parent and child. It really has brought peace of mind when I can change settings to the seat from my phone with ease and feel relieved about our traveling experiences in the future. I am so excited to continue getting much use from this seat with my son and seeing his sweet face light up when the features are activated. I highly recommend the Evenflo LiteMax NXT Infant Car Seat with SensorySoothe for anyone who has a child still rear facing. From one parent to another, you will not be disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this seat, but I felt that it has more cons than pros. The look of it is classy and sleek. It has a slim fit, which made it easy to fit beside my older children's car seats. It is incredibly lightweight. Installation and set up was very easy, especially with the included base. Downloading and navigating the app was pretty straightforward if you are tech inclined. I felt that it was lacking in comfort and actually felt flimsy as a whole. It seemed like more effort was put into other safety features, opposed to crash safety. The handle was difficult to move back and forth because it is so close to the canopy. It is also a hard plastic that I did not want to carry around for long. This factor is really just a minor inconvenience, but worth mentioning. Now for the selling point of this seat- the technology. As an adult, the soothing lights and music are certainly entertaining, until they are annoying- as many children's toys have proven to be. There is a big variety of options and combinations to choose from. My baby hated it all. She was very overstimulated and I don't blame her. The handle is very close to her face and the lights are extremely bright and the music is very loud. As far as the buckle sensor- I really do like the concept. It can definitely add peace of mind. The trade off is that the seat does use magnets, two types of batteries and constant Bluetooth. I realize this is not a concern for many, but for this reason alone, it would not be a daily seat for my family. Perhaps a long road trip when the concerns addressed might be more of an issue for us. Overall this would not be my go-to recommendation as it is now, but thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to try it out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Panel and tested it with my two month old. I'll start with the positives first. The fabric on the seat is comfortable and feels very nice. The SensorySoothe technology is amazing! My daughter loved it and it helped us keep her calm through a long visit at the pediatrician's office with lights and sounds. So many people at the doctor's office complimented the seat! The SensorSafe technology does give some peace of mind that if you leave your vehicle, it will remind you to check on the baby and not leave them behind and setting up the app to receive notifications was simple. However, I felt that the safety features of the seat overall fell short of my expectations. Installation was fairly difficult for me. I had a hard time getting a proper install and twice had a green indicator until I clicked the seat in, which then made me scramble to adjust the install when I was in a hurry. And I was disappointed to find that not only was no installation video provided to assist in proper install (even though the quick start guide suggests watching one,) but several QR codes on the seat and box routed to unrelated pages, such as the convertible car seat page and stroller wagon page, instead of installation information that should have been linked. Being able to achieve proper installation is the number one safety feature any car seat should have and to me this basic requirement was missing. Finally, the fit of this seat didn't seem to be a good match for my baby. It was too upright and once I found that her head fell forward in the seat, even though she was properly strapped in, passing the pinch test, chest clips at proper height, and seat installed correctly in the base. My baby is small for her age, so it's possible this issue is unique to us—I am giving three stars because the soothing and extra safety features are truly innovative and this is a great value seat for what it offers, but it simply isn't a fit for our family. I suggest families considering this seat work with a car seat professional to ensure proper install and peace of mind.
