This is the second watch we've had for our daughter. She lost the first one. Took her 2.5 years to lose it. It has so many functions that have helped with daily life and keeping track of things. I can't recommend it enough. Super durable and function.
Two of my children received the vivofit jr for Christmas and they haven't stopped moving since. They are obsessed with how many steps they are taking. We are an active family as is but this has elevated the competition to a new level. Fun and interactive!
Love most everything about it. A friend recommended the product to me because I needed help with transitioning my son in hid school work now that we have to do school at home. Often times he spends too much time on a subject and we loose track of time to try to accomplish all or the subjects in one day. The watch has so many things I like and he loves the look and the alarms too. What I don't understand is why it has a maximum amount of 10 alarms. This is not enough for us to schedule every transition in our day. Please update this feature. Seems silly to limit the amount of alarms.
I got this for my daughter as an 8yr birthday present. She has been having trouble remembering to do all her chores so I thought this might giver her motivation & focus. It did! She does them without having to be told and then comes to me to tell me they are done so I can mark it in my app & she sees it on the watch. Teeth brushing used to be an issue as well. I set the alarm for that in the morning & evening & now there are no forgetful issues. She will get up from whatever she is doing to brush her teeth if her alarm goes off. Win!
All in all, it is a good device. I like that they are geared towards children, because my kids would not ever wear a plain one. In fact, that is the main reason we went with the Garmin... that and the fact that the battery does not have to be charged. My 5 year old LOVES his. In fact, he's driving us nuts wanting to know how many steps we have (Hubby and I both have Fitbits, so we can't compete through the apps). It would also be really nice if there was a way for the app to read the instructions, instead of the child having to read them. My 5 year old is fine, but my 3 year old cannot yet read, so she isn't so much in to the app because she doesn't know what's going on. He seems to get around on it fine and we're soon going to start implementing the chore rewards. Other than that, we have been pleased. We got the adjustable band. For my 5 year old (and 3 year old) the smallest setting works fine on the adjustable band. Overall, we've been very pleased!
