Sceptre 46" Class HDTV (1080p) LCD TV (X46BV)

Got ours yesterday - had it set up and watching amazing picture quality in less than an hour. We had it shipped site to store and this was a completely hassle free experience. For those concerned about "off brand" purchases, it is interesting to note that when setting up a universal remote to this unit, you choose "SONY" as the manufacturer ;-) Heh, off brand... right.... This TV has every type of connector you would want, from vga for not so new computers, to 4 HDMI connections for just about anything that you would want to attach it to. It has a built-in equalizer with every level of tweak you could want. It also has USB to attach music players and other media devices directly to the TV. It also supports HDCP! Genius :-) If you buy this TV you will NOT be disappointed! A note to those who have it connected via coaxial cable to your tv feed... the only way you will see the true resolution of your tv feed is to get a cable/satellite receiver unit with an hdmi connector on the back. You can usually get this upgrade for free if you call your cable/satellite provider. If you don't do this, your images will all be downgraded to about 480 (instead of 1080) and you will be disappointed.

Like others,the first Sceptre arrived DOA..plugged the unit in and it was completely dead,black screen,no image.Spoke to Sceptere cust svc for a while & was advised to return unit..Walmart made it all quite simple and I had a new unit 2 days later. Beyond the initial hassle,the Sceptre has performed very well for the price:a good list of features w/many ins + outs,4 HDMI ports,decent onscreen menus and overall a value packed HDTV!

I was a bit concerned about buying a TV with a brand name that I did not recognize, but I am so glad that I took a chance! The picture is great, the sound is great, and the price is great! The only issue is that the TV gives off heat, so it wouldnt be the greatest in a smaller room on a hot day. But that was the only negetive thing I can think of....buy this TV!

All around you can't beat this TV. Sceptre has been around for years and was a major supplier to the military. (and may still be, I am not sure) For the money your not going to find a better TV! So many connections, you may need to buy more goodies to hook up to it. The sound is a little tiny and lacking, but that's what a good home theatre system is for. There is a slight squeal when it is turned off but if your close enough to it to hear that, well, your too close! Aside from those two points I can't think of anything else to say bad about it.

the picture quality is great.... it is a super tv for the price... i gave the tv 4 stars for sound quality... my stereo which i have connected to my dish receiver is better.... the reason i have given features four stars... there are no audio out jacks for a stereo connection... i had a used wall mount without the bolts.... found size and length of bolt, but not the thread size... you will need 8mx25mm the thread size was 1.25....
