Gillette Clinical Anti-Perspirant Deodorant, Ultimate Fresh Advanced Solid 1.70 oz (Pack of 2)

I was so excited to try the Gillette Clinical Protection 72hr Extreme Sweat Protection Invisible Solid Deodorant and was not disappointed! For starters the application process is different, you apply this deodorant at bedtime not the morning, so it's important to remember that to get this product to work at its best and most effectively while you sleep. It applies very easily, gliding effortlessly across my underarms smoothly which could be due to the fact that it is made with skin care ingredients. It has a subtle fresh scent that is perfect and not overpowering and smells nice. It provides excellent sweat protection which was exactly what I was looking for with 20% aluminum zirconium tetrachlorohydrex Gly 20% which it states to be equivalent to a 6.25% aluminum chloride Rx that is very strong and effective at stopping my very sweaty underarms from sweating and the horrors of wetting my tops with armpit sweat. I feel the formula is very effective because I haven't had any wetness or sweating since starting using this deodorant. I've spent time outside in 90 degree plus weather and my armpits have not dampened to my surprise which is a first because I have been using prescription strength deodorant for years because of how much I sweat and at best I am left with slight dampness even using these other big brand deodorants. I also like that the formula goes on clear and does not flake or leave residue but is clear and smooth. It also provides long lasting protection of 72 hours which is a long time of three days but I use nightly except for one day I forgot to apply but even so I still had protection. Overall I love this product and highly recommend!

I have used this deodorant for awhile now and recently the last 3 bottles I have bought have a horrible smell used to be my favorite deodorant but if something has changed and this is a new product I've been getting I will absolutely have to find something different.

Im scared by the aluminum in this product. I sweated like crazy and my arm pits stunk around 2 pm afternoon. Didn't keep me dry at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like a typical Gillette deodorant, you open it and find out that it is only 3/4 full and you have to crank it and click it several times before deodorant comes out. The texture was really unpleasant because it was like a thin toothpaste and it smells a little like candy and somewhat feminine; however, over the course of a day, the smell changes to something that more resembles a low-end cologne. It does do its job with sweat and odor protection so, despite all its downfalls, it did a really good job as an antiperspirant and kept my armpits fresh for 24 hours. This deodorant would be a godsend for someone who sweats a lot because it held up where other brands would have failed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not have excessive sweat or body odor problems so I'm not sure that I need to use any clinical deodorant, but hey, better safe than sorry, right? Gillette Clinical Advanced Solid Ultimate Fresh Antiperspirant/Deodorant seriously kills all smells before they even have the chance to waft from my sweat glands. I am dry as a bone and clean smelling all day. It's kind of amazing because I would apply at night (big change since I usually apply deodorant after my morning shower) and somehow I'm still fresh all of the next day. Ultimate Fresh scent is okay, but not my favorite since my girlfriend thinks I smell more like laundry detergent than masculine clean. Even though the formulation is white, it dries clear so no worries about stains, flakes, or anything getting on your clothing.
