Seventh Generation Concentrated Liquid Laundry Detergent Geranium Blossom & Vanilla, 40 oz

Before I bought this at my food co-op, I didn't realize the Environmental Working Group rated this product a "D" - high concern, due to the ingredients, and lack of disclosure of some of the ingredients, namely "fragrance". I had no idea how much lavender scent this product has. Before using, it smelled pretty strong (much stronger than the Ecos I previously used). After washing, I hung my clothes (inside) . As the clothes dried, they reeked of a smell like smashed bugs (specifically, fungus gnats). Now dry, they still reek. Maybe clothes dryers dissipate the stench (but I don't have one). One thing EWG down-rated Seventh Generation for is not disclosing the actual fragrance ingredients. The label just says "plant-derived" (heck, coal and oil are "plant-derived"!). Will not buy this brand again.

Have been using the detergent for many years. The issue is not the detergent but the awful cap. QA/QC fail on the design and functionality of this cap. I cannot store the detergent back inside of a cabinet since detergent drips down the bottle. With a teen who does his own laundry it becomes such a better g mess and wastes product. Disappointed.

I just searched for this website to find out how to measure the detergent with the new cap. I am shocked to find out from other reviews that there are numbers inside of it. I literally have to use a flashlight to see it! It's terrible and unusable for those of us with poor eyesight.

This new cap design is terrible! The bottle and my laundry cabinet are a mess and laundry detergent is not easy to clean! How did something like this get approved? What was wrong with the old, functioning cap?? I'll be buying another brand for now, until this is changed. I've been purchasing nothing but seventh generation since it came out. This is so disappointing.

I've used this product, among many other Seventh Generation products, for years and love it - 5 stars for that. However, I give ZERO stars for the new green cap design. Did anyone even bother to test it before giving the go-ahead? It's driving me crazy enough with the dripping and utter uselessness of it I'm seriously considering changing brands when I finish this bottle - do you hear me, Seventh Generation? Go back to the drawing board, or better yet, just bring back the old cap. There wasn't a problem with that one - it was easy to manage and measure and didn't leak. That old adage really applies here - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!
