Teva Women's, Verra Sandal

I ordered this pair online, and I was excited to try the Verra style since I have several other pairs of Teva sandals. However, I was disappointed to realize that this shoe style has a shorter ankle strap (compared to the Hurricane XLT2 and others). I had to return them because the strap barely connected with the Velcro and they didn't feel as secure on my feet. Also, it looked odd to have the strap end halfway across my ankle.

My old Tevas were work horses and lasted forever. These went back right away. The ankle strap was WAY too short and wouldn't stay closed. So much of the Velcro was exposed I can only imagine the stray threads and lint it would pick up over time. I suppose if you trim a little here and trim a little there, you can cut down on production costs....but they've gone too far.

I was always a "flip flop person", but as I got older (I'm 71) I found them difficult to keep on when walking or while driving my car. I discovered Tevas last summer and now have 3 pairs in different colors. They fit great, are super comfortable, and are the only shoes I want to wear. I will definitely be ordering more.

Loved the tortoise color very much, but for my narrow to medium foot, the top straps by the toes where too large for me and there was always a gap there and made them too lose. If I'd tighten them all the way, the strap end would stick way out looking odd) These are not as comfortable to me as the Tirra's. I do wish Teva would next year make the Tirra's in the tortoise color (solid) and I'd get them.

This is my third pair of Teva sandals. My first two pairs (which were both Tirra) lasted me through Peace Corps in a rural African village, and then a few years longer. I finally bought a new pair after literally wearing through the soles of those sandals. I wanted something a bit less rugged that I could wear with dresses, and the Verra is perfect. The fit is true to size, and they are both extremely comfortable and cute. I expect to get several years of wear out of these and highly recommend them!
