I really like the Uniflame Deluxe Square Charcoal Grill it is the perfect size and it comes in handy, it's not too small or too big just the right size I love it...
I bought this product about a year ago and it still works great.
It's a good product, but a "little" hard to put together. I had to put washers on to hold the table level..
WE NEEDED A SMALL GRILL TO CARRY CAMPING. This fit our bill perfectly. we can grill hamburgers or chicken or slow smoke ribs or brisket. I have a huge smoker/grill at home but it weighs 900lbs, not so easy to transport. This grill is lite and easy to carry. The side tray was useless so I detached it. The ribs I cooked July 4th were the best I've ever cooked and so easy with this grill. It's all about the air, airvents control the temp you want the meat to cook at. If you need low heat cut the air vents to half, if you want higher heat open airvents.. If your grillin' leave the top up, bottum vents open for the hottest fire.. we really enjoy our grill and it's a good buy for the money.........
If you want an inexpensive, basic charcoal grill with a couple of extras, this is the baby for you--just don't expect perfection. On the up side is the price: even if this grill only lasts a couple of seasons, it will have paid for itself. Quality-wise, the material is not heavy-duty, but it is adequate. There was a major scratched dent in one edge of the lid when I took out the pieces, which I straightened with a pair of pliers. The biggest headache during assembly was the discovery that only one pair of legs was included in the box. Fortunately, when I called Walmart, a very nice customer service manager agreed to give me a pair from another box. Not including the time to make the second trip to Walmart for the missing legs, it probably took me about three hours to assemble. I thought the instructions were fine, but I recommend studying them first as the lettering on the various screws was a little confusing. And it wouldn't hurt to have an extra pair of hands when putting on the legs and attaching the top to the hinges. Once put together, it is sturdy, and the warming grill seems stable. The side table is nothing to write home about, however. It catches on one of the screws when I try to adjust it, and the hinges connecting the table seem flimsy. It obvously is only good for holding your tools and a lightweight plate--would be afraid to set anything heavy on it. Now for the grilling part. Lined the pan with foil to make cleanup easier, and sprayed the grills with Pam which virtually eliminated any sticking. Used a fire starter to get the charcoal going, and didn't have to add any more charcoal to the pan during grilling. The fire stayed very hot for a very long time. The venting on sides and top worked nicely--I did notice that some smoke came out the back corners due to poor fit between top and bottom pans, but that wasn't really a problem, and the food had a good smoky flavor. If I had wanted to, I probably could have continued to grill with the existing fire for another few hours as it retained its heat extremely well. All in all, this is a very good grill for the price. It isn't fancy and won't last forever. But it looks pretty good and will definitely get the job done, and that's what I was looking for.
