Love that this can be used as a hot or cold compress. Has come in handy while having some tooth pain. Gave it a four star review do to it, not staying hot for very long. but all in all, a great product.
They didn't get cold enough or stay "cold" for more than 10 minutes even after leaving them in the freezer all night. Better off using a cold washcloth thats been in the freezer than these unfortunately.
Thought this was going to be like a bean bag. It is not. Too thick to conform. Over 2 hrs in freezer and just cool. After about 5 minutes, no longer cool. Not enough beads as they just all move to one area(gravity), so you have to keep adjusting it. The felt side doesn't allow coolness to penetrate. The plastic side you're not supposed to put against skin. I hate it. Totally useless.
I haven't used it as a hot pack and I don't need one. As a cold pack - zero stars uf possible: 1) It doesn't get that cold even after an hour or longer in the freezer. 2) Whatever cold it has dissipates quickly. 3) The instructions say to use the the plush side on skin (my arm, in this case) but you don't feel any bit of cold or coolness that way. A much better, more practical home alternative to this is to just wrap a few ice cubes in a kitchen towel.
Doesn't state in online purchasing descriptions that a microwave is required. As someone who doesn't own a microwave, or any similar device, I now have a half useless product. At least give alternative ways of heating. I don't want to risk putting it on a stove or in the oven.
