Dove Extra Hold 7 Fl. Oz. Aerosol Hair Spray

I've used Dove extra hold for years. It was amazing. Like others have said, the new formula, with gloss, won't wash out and is destroying my hair. Please bring back the original. I'm having to change brands because my hair is breaking off with the gloss that won't come out, even after washing twice.

I've been using this hairspray for years but they changed the formula and the color and it smells disgusting. It actually triggers my gag reflex it smells so bad. I won't use it anymore.   I guess I'll have to go find Suave or some other brand that doesn't smell as nauseating.  It's harder to wash out now, too.  I'll come back if they switch back to the old formula.

I am very disappointed in the new bottle in of extra hold I started using today! I first noticed it was a different color and the smell is awful!!! Why do companies feel that they have to change their products? It's probably the same old reason cheaper to put more money in the CEO's pockets!!

I'm glad I'm not alone in reading the other reviews. The new smell is terrible. I have been using this product for years and love it. But I can't use it if this is the new smell, and have to smell it all day in my hair. The other smell was light and fresh. This new one is heavy and perfumy.

I have used this product for years. I normally stock up. I just ran out and had to buy more. I stopped at the store and grabbed 3 bottles - the last they had. I shouldn't have. I didn't notice anything different about them at the store. When I used it today, I realized that its totally different. Even the bottles are slightly darker - almost tinted. But the smell is sooo strong. I loved the old scent because it smelled clean and fresh and wasn't overpowering. Today I had to put my bathroom exhaust on just to clear away the new scent. I hope that the actual formula didn't change also. I'll find out after today I guess.
