This is the worst phone I have ever owned. While it looks great, and appears promising, it disappoints. The storage problem is real. Listen to all the reviews. My phone cuts off and restarts itself, sometimes 2 or 3 times in a 10 minute span. Unbelievably annoying. My family always says don't use your phone ( always cutting off) I will look it up. Horrible phone. Don't waste your money. You have been warned. Oh short battery life as well.
I bought this phone b/c it was 174 times more powerful than my last Android Tracfone {ZTE Valet} I actually love it! BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and this is a huge deal breaker had I known prior to purchasing.... INTERNAL STORAGE IS ONLY 2GB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whats worse is that Android Kitkat DOES NOT allow you to transfer apps to SD card. So only buy this phone if you plan on installing 8-10 apps; more like 8 if you use FB & FB messenger. It makes the phone so less desirable than it could be! I would have gladly paid another $50 for 2GB more storage. Come on!! What year is this? 2007???
We bought this for my daughter and she loves it. Sure, it isn't the greatest phone ever but it is a pretty decent phone for what she uses it for (mainly texting and taking pictures). I believe if you asked her she would say she cannot live without it. It takes decent pictures, has a nice big screen has a good battery life. On the downside you cannot transfer anything to the SD card. You can make the SD card the default storage but it still saves all the apps to the phone (in comparison I have the Moto E and I can move apps and pics to the SD card with no problem). Her Pop Icon was filling up so over the weekend I plugged it into the computer and imported all the photos and videos over to the computer. There were almost 2000 pictures total on her camera and I believe this was eating up the room. Since you cannot directly transfer to the SD card here is what you can do. 1 - Hook up to computer via USB and when promted select "import files". It will copy the files over to the computer. 2 - When it is finished delete all pics and videos from the phone. 3 - Explore the phone, open the SD card and create a photo folder if one isn't already there. 4. Copy all of the files from your computer onto the SD card. Yeah, it is several unneeded steps but it should free up some room on the phone. As for apps, the more you download the more room it will take up. I told her to uninstall the ones she doesnt use all the time and just to put those on her tablet. No need for a bunch of games on this phone if you have a tablet too. If you are into gaming then this phone isn't for you, the memory issue will be a problem for you. But if you want it for weather apps, netflix, youtube and just a couple of games you'll be fine. Just remember to do as stated above and move as many files as you can to the SD card to free up memory.
This is a great phone at Straight Talk's great price. Batter life is wonderful on this phone. Only one problem and it is not the phone. I can't find a holster for it. Been to Walmart several time and can't find anything that fits. There must be one and Walmart should have it handy.
The phone itself is nice but I get terribly frustrated when the phone turns itself off in the middle of a conversation. By that I mean it just powers down and shuts off. VERY ANNOYING. Especially when I'm talking to my doctor or a family member. Any thoughts as to why it may be doing this? HELP!!
