A Dryer Ball is a Dryer Ball. I'm familiar with them and expected these to work. I believe they are worthy of their name but the issue I have is the weight of it. I used a few in the dryer and it did what I didn't expect. It bounced around banging against the walls knocking out the light. After I checked when my laundry was done I found out this happened and upset this happened. Now it has to be replaced. If only 2 or 1 ball is necessary then it must be stated in the instructions for this product. There was nothing stating how many balls can go in the dryer so I put a few in there to reduce drying time. Very disappointing. Also there are lint balls and fabric that are attached to it very easily so this is an extra task to get it off. I just put them back in the bag and put them somewhere. I'm not going to use them probably for the worry that the light will knock out again.
My first time using these Patric Richardson the "Laundry Guy" instructs in his book about using these and the advantages and savings. They did cut down on drying time, less wrinkles too. The cost from Walmart was less than on Ecoigy's website. I feel fortunate to have saved money. I also tried cinnamon fragrance oil on the wool balls and it left faint and pleasant smell on laundry.
