So, my friend right he is somewhat on the heavy side (270) and he doesn't really know how to take care of a bike. I would say its a very comfortable ride, while it lasted since he doesn't know how to take care of bikes he took all parts off of it and know has all scrappy parts on it. Whatever you do do not let (fat kid) buy this bike.
Great bike for the money.
Walking thru Walmart, I saw these Huffy Cranbook Cruisers selling for $89.00. Asked the Clerk if they had one still in the box, as I wanted to assemble it myself. They did so at that price grabbed one to play around with. It was packaged well, so on inspection found everything in excellent condition. No scrapes, scratches, or bruises. As I assembled it I made sure the every Nut, Bolt, and Screw was Tightened properly. I spent about an hour setting it up and making sure everything was lubricated properly. Trued the wheels, inflated the tires to 50 PSI, stripped the frame of all the decals and stickers. I didn't install the front and rear fenders, and also took the chain guard off. Left everything else on the bike completely stock. I did also put a 12” piece of foam handlebar material on each side of the handlebar just to give a little different gripping point to reduce hand/arm strain on longer rides. Also installed a Basic Cateye Cyclometer to be able to track speed and distance. I rode it around close to home to make sure everything was set up properly. It rode well. The next morning got up early and took this little bike on a 30 mile ride. To be truthful it rode very well. Unless the rider was a real picky person, they would be hard pressed to say it didn't ride as well as many $500 Single Speed Cruisers. Folks, for 89 bucks and a little TLC setting it up, you can't go wrong. For a single speed cruiser to knock around on I highly recommend you grab one.
I like it. Suitable for what I'm doing. Had a shipping ding on rear fender but that's cool. I know which ones mine!
Even though I didn't have the best experience with my online order for this bike, I'm still rating the bike 5 stars. You really can't beat $89 for this great of a bike. I purchased it for my 14 year old son as a Christmas gift. I spent $160 on women's cruiser for my wife 2 years ago and $130 on my daughter's cruiser in July. My son didn't ask for much in what kind of bike he was looking for. He really only needed it for getting to school and getting around in our very small beach side community. He wanted a cup holder for his cell phone and he wanted a "cool" color, nothing loud or black, red or yellow, the typical bike colors. The colors in the frame are very nice, a metallized greyish blue. He is able to put his skateboard on top of the handle bars and get around everywhere a 14 year old needs to go very quickly and without exhausting himself.
