26" Huffy Men's Fortress 3.0 Mid-Fat Plus Tire Mountain Bike, Silver

I ordered this bike online and had it sent to my house because I didn't trust anyone at Wal-Mart to put it together. Right out of the box the derailleur was bent so bad it was bound up and rubbing on the spokes of the rear tire. After some "persuasion" I got it close but not perfect. These things can happen during shipping, but the front brake mount is actually welded crooked so the front brake bad is at an angle to the tire. That is not Wal-Mart's fault or the shipping company's fault, that is a defect in manufacturing. I made a small wedge to adjust the angle and it seems to be working. I rode it around and after my "custom" repairs it seems to ride very nice and feels ready to go. I don't think it's a bad bike for the money, just keep that in mind if you order this bike, you need to have some small measure of mechanical ability to make it work correctly.

I had my local Walmart assemble this bike and it was horrible. I cannot say for sure the bike is good or bad but I am very sure that the person who assembled it did a terrible job.The alignment with the forks were lose, the brakes were squeaking, the sprocket was off, it was rattling and the front and rear wheels were not straight. I took it back and asked the customer service lady whether its their associates who assembles the bikes but she informed me its professionals who do it. I went to the bike rack to pick another assembled one because I needed to ride that evening and the rack was half empty. The ones there were either loose or their brakes were damaged. I ordered another bike and may be I have to take it to a bike shop for a professional assembly or another Walmart to see whether they have someone who understands the job properly to assemble it. So, its hard for me to blame or not to blame the bike since it wasnt properly assembled.

A nice looking bike, easy to assemble. I have not had a chance to try it out yet because of New England's unpredictable weather lol
