Burt's Bees Thoroughly Therapeutic Honey & Shea Butter Body Butter, 6.6 oz

I'm thoroughly disappointed that this product will be discontiued. It is one of the few that does not contain cetyl alcohol. In looking at the new product ingredients, it appears that they all have alcohol... Is that so it appears less greasy? Ladies, tell me you want alcohol (a drying agent) on your skin and I will stop complaining! It doesn't make sense to put a drying agent on when your whole purpose was to moisturize.

I purchased this for my husband, who has terribly dry and irritated skin, especially in winter. When I first met him years ago, he was using all kinds of lotions trying to fix the problem - none of which worked at all. I got him to start using unscented baby oil, and that seemed a lot better, but it's messy and doesn't absorb well. Finally, we tried this. It Works! This is the only product we've tried that completely eliminated his dry skin, and as a bonus, it isn't messy and it absorbs completely. He's been using this product for several months, and it's like he never had a problem - no itchy, dry, irritated, flaking skin. If there is a downside to this product it would maybe be the smell. The smell is a little strong, and sweet. I'm pregnant, and the scent doesn't appeal to me - I even tried using the butter myself, but had to give it up. I think most people would like the smell though - my husband does. Just wish they made an unscented version for people like me. But that is a minor complaint for what is really a great product that we keep stocked up on in our house now.

A friend recommended this product to me for my son with eczema. It works great on dry or wet skin and smells great! Its a bit tacky after using but that goes away quickly. You also have to rub in the skin more than other products otherwise you will see the product on the skin.

I love this stuff! It smells amazing, like this light honey scent and it's not greasy. It beats Victoria's Secret's and Bath and Body Works' body butter!!

Has anyone ever used the Body Butter on their face? I have tried it and I love the way it makes my skin feel. My skin feels softer and looks more radiant when I apply my makeup on over it. My skin has been dry and my lips dry and this really helps to moisturize it. Just curious to know if anyone else has tried it.
