This was a great deal. Black Friday special. The product for the most part is well made. But when you spend $300 you shouldn't set your expectations high. First off, it's 110v, so no, it is not going to keep warm. Maybe if your daily high is above 70F and low is above 50F, and even then, expect the heater to be on 24/7 which means the pump is on 24/7 which means your electric bill is going to run an extra $75/100 per month. I could not even get it warm (being in New England in winter), so my only option was to fill it with hot water from my hose (which I have an option to do so). But even that's not so simple since the hose will freeze causing other issues. The insulating cover is a joke. It is far too small to cover the water. That being said, I was able to keep it warmer with a custom made cover out of rigid foam insulation. Still not great, but can at least keep it insulated enough overnight to use the next day. Of course it means keeping it running 24/7. The unit also leaks at the interface between the pump and the pool. Once this seal is broken, there is no fix, it will continue to leak. I just try to keep it to a minimum (maybe a gallon per hour is best I can do). The pump unit also failed within a few months. It's a GFCI issue with the cord. This unit is supposed to be fine for outdoors, but I would recommend you only use it if you live in a desert where it doesn't rain, or have it under a roof. It is clearly not waterproof. So is it worth it? Well I did enjoy it for the 5 or 6 times I used it. So all in all about $400 in total cost which breaks it down to about $75 per use. Hmmm, probably not.
junk, we have had 2 that didn!'t last long at all before breaking, 1 only worked for 2.5 months. Both of them had the same issue. They come on but when you start to turn the heat up, they kick off by blowing the button on the plug. I tried changing the plug in part on the 1st one, but that didnt work. Tried to get into with support for the company by both phone and emsul, but was unsuccessful. Dont waste your money
Waste of money, this thing doesn't work. Bad instructions. Couldn't even set it up. Apparently if you live somewhere where it gets under 50 degrees, you can't use it. There is some kind of alarm that goes off and won't let you do anything. Which is horrible if you live in northern Nevada. It's always cold here.
I do love this item and it did heat up in 48 hours to 104. the remote did stop working which is why only 4 stars. warranty was approved and they are sending me a new one. after reading some of the one-star reviews I see a lot of people had the same issue I had when I first set it up with not being able to get it to cut on. it was my mistake. After I reread the instructions and saw that I have to hold the power button for a few seconds before it would cut on. everything works properly.
delivered on time . easy enough to open and start setting up,but no directions were in the english language ? installig the lights was difficult had to warm the strip of lights inside for 4 hours before they were flexable enough to work with otherwise they surely would crack .but used it 2x so far like it good price. yes ,i recomend it. just have some ability to set up without english directions.
