they said it was new. that's a lie. the front of the box was tore and then they had tapped it with different tape that I'd not used by licensed Xbox products. the back of the controller had debris in the seems and the left had side on the front had a non removable stain. Wal Mart will not give a crap. as long as they get their money.
This is the third controller. I've bought within a year and within 2 to 3 months it just either completely stopped working won't charge or the button just stopped working and before people try to be like oh well he might've spilled something on it or got something in it I'm a very very clean person and don't let drinks or anything around any of my stuff if something gets spilled immediately clean it so I know nothing got into the controller. I Hollywood would not recommend buying a controller from Walmart.
It's exactly what you would expect. An Xbox controller. It's great for now while it's fresh out of the box, but it most likely won't be long before it eventually develops stick drift and requires a solder job or replacement. The controller color is pretty cool. I recommend getting the controller if you can find it on sale for a reasonable price like I was able to. Otherwise, I'd say you're better off saving your money and getting an elite controller instead.
Just to preface, I purchased this controller while it was on sale for roughly ~$40. That aside, it paired and works great with my windows 11 laptop! All it needs is two (2) AA Batteries, Bluetooth, hold the sync button, select it on windows, and you're done! I was a little weary of it since I hadn't use this specific model of Xbox controller yet, but I really like the new capture button! On windows 11, tapping the capture button takes a screenshot using Gamebar, and if you hold it for roughly three (3) seconds, it starts recording, again using Gamebar. The textured grip on the the sides are nice too.
This controller is substantially better than the one that came with my series X. I had to replace the original because I stepped on it in the middle of the night on accident but I would recommend upgrading to this anyway. My old controller had pretty ridiculous stick drift. This has none. The buttons are crisper and more responsive. It seems like it's just put together better.
