Dreambaby® Chelsea Extra Tall Auto-Close Metal 28"-42.5" Baby Gate

I bought and installed this unit a week ago in my conservatory to keep my 8 Cavalier King Charles off a particular area. A well-constructed unit basically which I was using across a 130 cm distance. The only thing I did notice was the extensions connected to the main frame were bending slightly where they were connected by the pins. No big deal really as the unit felt quite rigid, but I would suggest that perhaps larger diameter pins would be better when using extensions to cover large distances. Satisfactory product.

I bought 4 of these gates for my son and daughter in law. They have. 2 dogs and a baby on the way. After measuring the openings I called the company to ask for help ensuring I was ordering the right size. They were very helpful. The gates came within about 3 days. They were easy to install and look great. The extra tall ones will help to keep the dogs from jumping over. They are very easy to open and close. It is very beneficial they open both ways. Four years ago I ordered the same gates but larger for my home. Very happy with them and they are still in use.

This gate is very nice & sturdy, I also bought the 17.5 inch extension, to fit area 50 inches. I am only using the extra extension that I bought separately, with the gate & not the 2 extensions that came with the gate. The 2 extensions that came with the gate is only 42 inches wide total, I needed 50 or 52 inches. I am using this gate to help keep a cat out of my family room, she would chew on wooden gate with plastic coating wire mesh. I had 2 of those wooden gates stacked on top of each other for 65 inches high. Now using this heavy duty metal gate with one of those wooden gates with slide adjustment overlapping but not touching metal gate for total height of around 72 inches. I don't need to walk into the family room there, there is another opening into the room from my kitchen area.

The gate is awesome. I needed something to keep my nimble dogs in the living room and my child from pulling it down and jumping on it. I can't say more. It is a must have for anyone needing to keep their busy child or dogs contained. . It looks great and fits perfectly in our lives. My only regret is I didn't buy it sooner.

I ordered this gate with extensions for our store near our reception desk. Our store dog is very well behaved, but she tends to trot out to greet everyone and some people are afraid of dogs or I don't want her knocking over small children or elderly patrons. This gate is very adaptable and was able to be put against one end by rough uneven wood. I wish I had bought one a long time ago. I would definitely recommend this product. Also it was not in my local Walmart, but it arrived the day after I ordered it.
