If you remember the original version (growing up in the 70's and 80's#, this is not it. They try, but its not the same. The elevator gets stuck and has to be pulled up with 2 hands #sometimes it takes an adult)....there is no more lever to turn. Overall, the construction feels cheap. In the end, it does the job....but barely. Causes more frustration than a toy should.

I bought this for my son for Chritsmas 2010. He loved it. But it does not stay together. The elvator on it doesn't work very well. He will push it up and when he lets go it just falls back down. I am very dissapointed with this toy even though my son loves it and still plays with it.

A bunch of little pieces to put together. It wasn't really hard, just annoying. The cars are so big & the people keep falling out. Definitely not made like the old version. Cheaper, the elevator is so hard to get up (there is no crank like the old one), I can barely do it, let alone my 18 month old. When pushing the elevator up since it sticks the cars flip over & the people fall out. When it gets to the top the elevator doesn't incline (like the old one) so the cars automatically come out & go down the ramp. Not happy with it at all. & I was really looking forward to this too.
