Samsung Captivate Glide 4G, Black (AT&T)

This phone for me, was a great replacement for my Impression. The touchscreen is great for application use and quick phone dialing. The slide out keyboard is great for texting. It works better than predictive text in that you can easily eliminate errors. In addition to that it is a very durable phone For me, it is a great all around phone.

i am officially blown away...i have been a droid fan since its inception and have owned 3 other droid products ...2 of which i did still use....til i got my phone...i have been shopping android phones for awhile online wanting a newer one than the one i had and went in to the cell phone store with a good idea of what i wanted....i looked at several others that had caught my eye ...but it seemed as tho i couldnt find one with every feature i wanted until i found the captivate glide...it was like someone had actually heard me say i want all these things on a phone with a keyboard.... where to start ...the four inch screen displays everything with stunning color and clarity...the camera takes crystal clear photos...havent tested the video camera yet...seeing as how i have only had it a few days....the youtube videos play crystal clear without alot of jerking and lagging even on my incredibly slow home wifi ...messaging is easy and its nice to be able to download apps and not have to worry about running out of room anytime soon...havent had any problems running any apps except the preinstalled carrier bloatware...and that fault i think lies with them....oh and did i mention it makes my other andriods look like kids toys...i use my phone heavily all day as an mp3 player<from the time i clock in til the time i leave...at least 8 hours> plus message and facebook and make phone calls and still have only managed to use 60 percent in an hour shift...awesome battery life... ok so that was the good..now there are a few bad things ...and that lies mainly in design... the power button and the volume buttons are in rather in convenient places...or maybe its not so much the placement as it is the ease of which the button can be pressed...im forever turning my screen on and cranking up the volume when i handle my phone...and the lack of a camera button isnt such a hot idea either...also the placement of the micro usb cable for charging isnt such a hot idea...however its not the first android phone with a keyboard that i have had and that one had the cable in the same spot....it makes typing difficult and awkward when the phone is hooked to the computer or charger....however those are the only complaints i have had so far....soi still give this phone 5 stars just wish the design were a tad better but over all i love this phone and hope i will continue to do so til samsung comes out with the next version of it :D

The Samsung captivate glide has a great design, a wonderful camera, the qwerty keyboard is a life saver. The batery lasts all day long, even if im playing or downloading stuff. It has so many options to customize it to your very own needs and android has the best app store. It is very light and the gliding keyboard seems very sturdy. You must buy a case for this phone because the back cover is so thin that it will ruin your battery/phone with any contact with water.

I bought this device to replace my Blackberry Torch. I really like the keyboad and the ease of use. The apps are great and the display is brilliant. I recommend this device for anyone who really wants a keyboard, but also wants the android features and is transitioning from a Blackberry.

The Samsung Captivate is AWESOME. I can do almost anything I want on it and fast. I love playing the games on it because the screen is clear and easy to use. The other day I had to go to my sister's graduation and I forgot my camera so I had to use the camera on the Samsung Captivate. I thought the pictures might come out terrible, but instead a professional photographer said my pictures were better than his. I extremely recommend everyone to get this phone. It is good for fun, business, and for personal use. I definitely give this product a five star.
