Kushies - Reusable Ultra-Lite Diapers for Toddler, 5-Pack Boy

I have been using the cushies occasionally with my 16 month old son. I say occasionally because I could only afford to buy 1 pack which contains 5 diapers. The recommended amount of cushies to purchase is 25 or 5 packs. That makes perfect sense but does not seem very affordable. I feel as if the product is high quality and very absorbent. My son does not seem to mind that the cushie is kinda bulky and makes it hard for him to walk. He is a very slender baby and sometimes the cushie leaks, due to it fitting loosely around his waist. There are pros and cons to owning this product. Most of all I love the fact that we are creating less garbage and helping the environment even if not all the time. I just think that it would be smarter if you are thinking about buying this product to make sure to get a few packs if you can.

I was willing to give these a try because the reviews on here were so positive. I was completely unimpressed, however. Within a month, three of the five diapers had come apart completely. The diaper was so huge and bulky that I could not fit my children's pants on (not even sweat pants) nor their pajamas. As they fell apart, I could see inside the diaper, which is made of two layers of some kind of thick, gross, polyester. Aside from my disappointment with the diapers falling apart and their bulky fit, they did keep the kids dry over night.

This is a great price for the number of diapers. However, I was a bit disappointed that the colors of the print on the outside fabric faded after the second wash. Also, the inside flap is great for ease of cleaning. I'd only wish that it were attached at the front rather than the back-- then it could be folded thicker for boys. That said, we've had NO leaks so far, so maybe that isn't necessary anyway! Also, my baby is 21 lbs, which is smaller than suggested for using the toddler size. These are working for him, though, so I'm really pleased!

I have been using Kushies Cloth Diapers since my son was born 16 months ago. They are durable and get the job done. They are very easy to clean it is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be dealing with cloth diapers. GET THE DISPOSABLE LINERS!! They make it so much easier. These new designs are very cute and the new material they are using on the outside lets more air get to the baby which means less diaper rash. Great Product. I recommend them all the time. My Baby Boy loves kushies.
