ELECTRIC FIREPLACE INSERT - 5000 BTU'S

Mirror is behind logs. Looks cheap made. Very disappointed. Too much trouble to send back or I would.

bought it 2 weeks ago and very impress with it, also bought a CD of fire crackling and some campfire enscent.

Didn't know what to expect, but am very happy with the insert. Doesn't give off much heat, but that's isn't why I purchased it. Fits nice in the fireplace and is very pretty and relaxing to watch.

I am so pleased with this purchase. I don't hear any crackling but that's ok because just to have it on is so amazing and life-like. And when the heat is on, OMG, this little thing packs a powerful punch. As far as recommending this product...I already have. When my sister saw it, she hurried up and ordered her one. Bottom line...I love it! And that's all I have to say about that.

We bought this to put in an existing gas fireplace insert, which we did not want to use due to it being ventless--Co2 worries...After taking gas logs out and cleaning the space, the Dimplex fit in perfectly. The rear width of unit is 18", so it is narrower in back than the front (23") dimension. The flames are quite nice. Not confused with a real flame, but highly satisfactory (this was my biggest concern). The heater works very well and is very quiet. Our living room is small, about 14x18 with a 9 foot ceiling, but logs raise temps about 3 degrees and keep area very comforrtable, combined with baseboard heat. There is a deluxe version from Dimplex that has upper LED logs that pulse like glowing embers, but that is $150 more. I would be willing to pay this, but am satisfied with the version Walmart sells. Its bottom logs have a very realistic ember glow, as well as reflectors on the top logs that are realistic. The remote control works well and there are three switches--flame, low heat, high heat. Very easy to set and use. Net, Dimplex fits into a small space, has good flame and heat and was a good price and value, especially with Walmart's "ship to store" program.
