Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor with Starry Night Projector SCD730/86

I was given this Monitor to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. It is a great, simple monitor. The monitor is very easy to use straight out of the box. The included projections and soothing sounds are sweet and don't interfere with the sound quality. I like the compact size, battery life, sound quality, and range. My favorite part is the temperature display, so I always know if it gets too hot or cold in the baby's room. The ability to talk to the baby remotely is nice, but it means that the speaker disappears a lot because my older son wants to use it like a walkie talkie. I do have one major problem with the device that keeps me from being able to use it at night though. There is a blue LED light on the front of the monitor speaker that blinks every time noise is made in the baby's room. I've kept a sound machine in my daughter's room since she was born. So as long as the sound machine is on, there is a BRIGHT blue light flashing next to my bed. If your baby doesn't use a sound machine, I highly recommend this monitor. If you do use a sound machine, it makes it much harder to use without a blue light flashing all night. PS there is no way to turn of the light.

I really love this monitor. I was looking for a non video monitor, and actually received this from the weeSpeing parent panel. I couldn't be more thrilled with it. The thing that sets this monitor apart is the music and light projection! My son needs music to sleep and I love that this product has all these things combined in one product. Once you have a baby you realize how much “stuff” accumulates. I love that this product replaces three different items in such a small footprint. It is awesome!!

We were given this monitor to try through the weeSpring Parent Panel. This is an awesome sound baby monitor and I would highly recommend it. We have used other sound and video monitors to compare this to and had a pretty great experience using this Philips Avent Dect Audio Baby Monitor with Projector. We love it because it has so many different features, it's easy to use, set-up and you don't need to connect it over WiFi. PROS: -my favorite feature is being able to monitor the temperature in my daughters room. The temps fluctuate SO much throughout the year and it puts me at ease knowing she's at a safe temperature. -you can control music/lights/features from the parent device. -the sound is crystal clear! We run a heater in LO bedroom and it's very quiet but we heard it on the monitor (and the monitor was across the room) -we love that this is a very secure monitor to use. -rechargeable batteries! -1.5 year old LOVES the lullabies. We don't let her sleep with them because she sleeps with a sound machine but she asks to hear them as soon as she wakes up. -really easy to set up and use. Customizing the settings just takes a little longer. -portable! can use cords or battery to operate monitor -battery life is great. -you can talk through the main device from the parent device -night time mode is a nice and gentle feature so the monitor doesn't light up the whole room at night. CONS -although the projector is neat, it's distracting for our LO to fall asleep. Probably won't run into this issue if you start using this at a very young age. -same thing as above with the lullabies. They seem great to help small child fall asleep, but they were more exciting for our daughter than lulling her to sleep. -it required me to read the instructions a little to customize settings unlike a basic sound monitor that you just plug in and turn on to operate. Altogether, myself and the fam love this monitor and would recommend it. It's a step above basic sound monitors with really neat features.

This monitor worked exactly as it should! We had crystal-clear audio with no interruptions, and my daughter could hear us clearly when we used the talk back feature. The projections didn't work for us (easily distracted toddler!), but she would have loved them when she was younger (probably 9m or younger.) The lullabies helped her nod off to sleep - and avoided us needing to bring a separate white noise machine when we travel. Thanks to weeSpring Parent Panel for letting us test drive this product!

The monitor was nice where you can play a lullaby or shine pictures on the ceiling. However, the sound was terrible. I could barely hear my son through it, so it is definitely not something I would trust to use at night. Maybe I got the only poorly performing one, but I think maybe it could have quite a few adjustments and it would be great. I received this product to test for free from the WeeSpring Parent Panel.
