These shoes are very cute and my 5 year old said they are the most comfortable shoes she has ever owned. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the strap has threads constantly unraveling that I have to tidy up. It's not the end of the world but it's definitely been an annoyance since day 1.

My daughter has worn this style of shoe for 4 years. We bought the original in a Stride Rite store. I am not a fan of ordering footwear online: it makes sizing difficult. We ordered up to last the whole school year and could have ordered a half size smaller. This will work well enough. The first three pairs of shoes I have handed down to friends looking like new because we use shoe polish periodically. This is the only black maryjane I have found in an xw to acommodate my daughter's soft orthotics. We placed the order on Aug 16 and the shoes arrived by Aug 31.

My oldest daughter has a pair and after 2 weeks, they already look worn. I ordered a pair for my youngest daughter before I noticed the wear and tear of my oldest daughter's shoes.I had to return them because the size was too big. I'm glad I did because now I see the shoes will not last very long.

My five year old loves them and says they’re super comfortable. They did scuff a little in the top toe area even though they’re leather but that’s to be expected with kids playing at recess. They do run about a half size big. I will definitely purchase again.

First, let me say my initial impression of these shoes were great. My daughter loved them and said they were super comfortable. However, after the FIRST time she wore them to school they showed significant wear, the stitching on the toe broke, and there was a hole on the inside near the strap. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this shoe.
