My husband and I had previously bought some different off-brand component cables and I wasn't very impressed. When we received our Nyko component cables and connected the Wii we were quite pleased. The picture and sound quality were both greatly increased. I would recommend these cables for anybody with a Wii and an HD tv.
This cable works as advertised - it is about 9 feet long, connects easily to the Wii and the component TV inputs. The picture improvement from the Wii's 480i to 480p is decent though not incredible. Don't forget to update the settings on the Wii or it will stay in 480i mode.
If you are a video game addict like me you will be pleased as punch when you can play your WII games in widescreen HD. You cannot find these cables in any store and they will tell you they don't exist, but these less expensive cords work great and we play our wII games in HD widescreen. have fun
These Nyko component cables are definitely a worthwhile investment for your Wii. Most Wii games can be run in 480p, and the only way to get that picture is with a set of component cables. The standard cables that come with the Wii looked pretty fuzzy on my HDTV, but once I switched to these cables, and changed the Wii's settings to match, the picture definitely looks a lot sharper. Highly recommended.
Had a hard time finding a comparable product in a retail store. All the ones I found were much more expensive, some more than double the price of this one. Note this is for TVs that have component video inputs. I wish the WII was 780p, but this does help by getting a 480p picture. Make sure you update your WII settings because it's not 480p by default. There is a noticible improvement in picture quality but its not drastic. I'm using a 32in 780p LCD. Definitely worth the $20 though if you want the best picture you can get.
