While going thru the product i thought it wont be sturdy. But to my surprise, the product is really good. My son and his dad (hahaha) loves playing Wii and this came out as a boon to them...now i dont have to worry about the baterries and also, there are no extra wires for charging. It keeps everything intact. good buy.....
The price was right he performance was not. The right side charger quit working / charging. The blue light was so bright we would turn unit off or cover it with a towel so it did not light up the whole room in the evening. Took it back to store for a refund...don't buy this I was really disappointed with this unit.
This is a great product if you only have use for two controllers. If there are more than two gamers in your house.....you're still burning batteries on the other controllers. Also the fan does stay on as long as the unit is plugged in. It does make a slight noise so if your Wii is in your bedroom, you might find this disturbing. One more issue is that it is not compatible with Wii Motion Plus. So, you have to disconnect Motion Plus before you can dock your controller in the station. If you keep your wrist strap attached, you may not get a connection. We have noticed this on only one side and had to remove the wrist strap for the controller to connect for a charge. Overall, it's great and keeps everything together but it's not going to work for our family. We will be returning it.
Relativly cheap and looks really cool [with the light up neon blue base and everything]. I've never had problems with my Wii overheating, but has a cooling fan that never turns off. There are independent lights for each of the two charge stations that light up blue and red, for a full charge/charging status respectivley. However you'll have to take your jackets off your wii remotes to charge them, and the wrist strap is right where the contacts are, so it takes a second or two to make sure the charge connection is there, easy to tell though because of the charge status indicator lights. I found it slightly difficult to install the rechargable battery pack, but just latching the clip yourself when its in place instead of letting it latch itself under it's own [spring] power, seems to go in and stay in no problem. However, personally, I don't leave my wii remotes in the charge station until they need charged because of the simple fact that I don't like removing my [motion plus] jackets and the wrist strap gets [slightly] in the way. So as long as your not looking to hang your remotes up after every play on the charge station it's great; however I realize there's probably a lot of people who would like that, but it's kind of contradictory because nintendo says to leave the jackets on, and you can't charge your battery pack while one is on. Battery packs hold a good life, and first charge is quick and easy.
This is a must have for the Wii, the only downfall is the cooling fan stays on constantly. There is a switch to turn the blue light at the bottom off, but if you want to turn the fan off you must unplug the cord from the back of the charge station. It is the same plug you would use for headphones 3.5mm. So it is real simple to unplug. The battery pack's alone are worth the money you pay for the whole unit, considering the money you will save for batteries. Overall this is a must have.
