The Transformers Death Star is pretty darn cool. A little tricky to transform though. Was afraid the legs were gonna break when having to bend them upward, but they didn't. Whew! Directions could be a little more descriptive, and a little less "look at the pictures and figure it out." 5 & up in this case really means... your 5 year old will watch you do it for him.

I bought it for my 9 year old. It is bulkier than other transformers, but he loves it! It is hard to get it into the Deathstar position. Who would have know making a ball was so hard. Would recommend this product, but definatly not for younger ones unless you want to do the transforming for them.

This product was not worth the money or the time to try to figure it out. My eight year old as well as myself still cannot fully put the death star together. The picture directions were horrible. I would not recommend this product, especially not for the 49.99 that it cost.

This was a Christmas gift four our 9-year-old nephew, who is a mega Star Wars fan. He had that thing out of the package in minutes and manipulated the transformer easily. He played with it for the rest of the afternoon and kept coming to show us how it worked. This was a big hit with him!

WOW! is this thing COMPLICATED even with the instructions, the age recommendations are WAY off! The instruction sheet is HUGE and complicated, not like the average transformer, however when it is finally transformed its VERY COOL! If you have a lot of time and patience, and love star wars I recommend it. IF you are a Star Wars finatic, like my son, its worth the effort to transform it. I would buy it again, but I wish I knew it was going to be so complicated before it was opened I would have brewed an extra pot of coffee!
