Birds love it!
I have tried several types of bird seed. I live in southwest and this the only no waste bird seed that actually has no waste. My prior seed mixes had more millet and other seeds that the birds in my area did not like. I am happy to have found a mix that the ground feeders also like. Walmart offers the best price for this mix.
I feed my backyard birds outside on my deck. To keep it clean of messy seed shells I've been trying different varieties of No Waste birdseed. I ordered this LYRIC Fine Tunes brand this time from Walmart. I arrived at my doorstep the very next day. Packaged perfectly. The normal visitors being Cardinals, Bluejays, Morning Doves, Redwinged Blackbirds, Sparrows and the like ate it. After opening the package, it doesn't seem to have dusty sediment in it. I think it's a winner so far.
This is pricier than others HOWEVER everything gets eaten. There's no empty shells or passed over grains under the feeder. You can use this on porches, decks, or right putside a window where you wouldn't want little rodents to eat the spoils and decide your home is a great place for a mice colony to reside. All woodpeckers, Robins (ground feeders), jays, cardinals and many colorful or beloved birds are attracted to Lyric Fine Tunes No Waste mix. It's worth it.
Birds of all kinds love it, cardinals, woodpeckers, wrens, bluejays, chickadees, etc.. To make it even more attractive (especially to bluebirds) I add dried mealworms. I put this in feeder I have on my porch, the only thing I had to do when I started feeding the birds this was get a large squirrel baffle to place over my feeder to prevent the squirrels from getting to it. Very little, if any, waste or mess. Worth the cost.
