i really like the phone, it does everything that i need. for those who take selfies this doesn't seem to have the capabilities for that.
I switched from a flip phone to this. I like its features but have two complaints: 1--my voice echoes when I'm talking on it & 2--half the time it won't let me answer a call.
Great phone
I was looking for a step up from my flip phone - and this more than exceeded my expectations.
I've had Net10 for years and wanted to continue with the pay-as-you-go cheapest service at $15 per month, and only needed to upgrade to a phone better for for texting, so was looking for a qwerty keyboard. I searched like crazy and only found these two with the smooth "smart phone" style. If it's Android or iPhone you have to go to a larger monthly data plan. You can't get the cheap minutes at Walmart stores any longer either, but you can get it on Walmart online and on Net10's website, the deal is $30 for 60 days, 300 minutes. Minutes roll over. Walmart shows a map with gsm phones getting the best coverage, so I bought the 306G, the sister to this one. Then I found a different coverage map on Net10's own website, showing that cdma phones have more national coverage so I got this online from Walmart. (that's the C and G at the end) I had both phones on at the same time and watched the bars for three weeks before deciding which one to keep, this one won out by a slight margin, so far it hasn't shown zero coverage here where the G did a few times in my house, not good. This is great for texting! I don't get on the internet, I do that on a large screen as I am a website developer and sit at the computer all day long, but it's nice to know it's there in emergency while I'm out. Not sure of the speed since I haven't been stuck using it yet. This one allowed texting to an email much easier than the 306G which wanted me to provide my email account server info. I don't plan to check emails, just want to be able to send a photo to my email and this was a snap but I think it crunched the photo down. Haven't figured out how to get the photos off the phone another way yet to see if they are larger when raw. The one I sent to myself was not that great, the camera is no big shakes. All in all a great little phone! I may get a spare since they discontinue everything that saves you money eventually and this is the best one I could find. The scrolling is less smooth than the G version, and the camera isn't great, so it doesn't get a 5 but I do love this little phone for my needs.
