Mini Bow 2.5-Gallon Aquarium Kit

We have purchased these tanks for our children's rooms mainly as nightlights. They do work well for the fish too! We have two "cheapy" goldfish together in one that have grown to 2+ inches long. This is the third of these tanks I have purchased. We just replaced one because of hard water deposits on the tank cover and the light stopped working after about 5 years. As long as the fish are not over-fed, the water never has to be changed or the tank cleaned. Algae treatment does have to be applied and the filter needs changed every 3-4 months.

There's no denying that the filter takes up a nice chunk of space inside the aquarium. Accordingly, the food tends to get sucked up into the filter pretty quick. I worry that my fish aren't feeding fast enough before the filter sucks it up, so I sorta stand there and watch the fish feed, and end up sprinkling more food in there because the filter sucks it up before they eat enough. Per the instructions, you're only supposed to have 1 inch of golfish per 3 gallons of water with this tank. So all the fish pictured on the front of the aquarium box is misleading. Technically I should only have one little goldfish in this aquarium, but we actually have two. Overall, we're happy with this aquarium so far.

Children wanted a pet and this works out great. The aquarium came with everything, but pebbles for the bottom; so they got to add their own little touch to it. The filter is very quiet and the 2 gallon tank is just the right size for the family of 4. The top cover sits securely on it; so no little fingers can take it off and it has a small door to open to feed them that even a small hand can not enter. I like it and so do the 5 & 2 year olds that I bought it for.

Have not had any problems with it. Have a couple small fish in there now and they are loving it. The filter is a little big but it does its job and that's all I care about.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY ONE WHO WANTS A NICE AND AFFORDABLE FISH TANK. I BOUGHT THIS AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT THE FIRST TIME I SEEN IT. GREAT PRODUCT GETS THE TANK CLEAN TOO.
