The deflector won't stay on after a couple of uses. I have even superglued it on and it still comes off. I have to keep putting it back on while my grandson is using it. It has made his potty training a nightmare. It is good for girls but not boys. I have to go buy another one and save this one for my granddaughter.

i would not recommend this potty for boys. 1. the splash guard makes it difficult for my son to get on the potty. 2. liquid often splashes over or under the guard and it is difficult to clean the bottom white tray. 3. it's too easy for a toddler to take the potty apart and throw the pieces all over the place.

I purchased this product from Wal-mart after seeing it elsewhere for about $15-20 more. It is for my 14 month old son. He loved it! He sat right down and we looked at the "potty book" that came with it and USED it the very first time!! We're still hit or miss, since he's so young, but I'm very excited about this product. I will be recommending it to all my friends and family who are potty training. Love the feature of the toilet roll holder and little container for wipes. The step stool is very helpful as well. Set up was a breeze. Only real "complaint" is that when he's done and stands up the potty shield catches him and he takes the whole soft seat with him. Still, as we improve we won't need the shield. Don't know how you could modify it either- retract when bottom is off seat?? Thanks for a great product!

I don't know how well this product works yet, we just got it last night, but already my son loves to sit on it and play with it. He is a hyper 18 month old and I was surprised that he liked it so much. He tries to sit on it while he still has a diaper on. Its pretty funny to watch, but I just haven't caught him at the right time for him to go in the potty yet. So far though, I think it will work out. The only thing I wish is that instead of a free bottle of hand soap, they put in some free pull ups!

This is a wonderful product. My daughter is 13 months old and she loves it. We brought it home, took it out of the box, and she went potty in it right away! It was nice that it was so easy to use, didn't have to put it together. It came with helpful book and hand soap too! The only thing I did notice was the deflector piece was missing, but we don't need it anyway. Wonderful product and we will get more than our money's worth out of it! (Cheaper than diapers right?)
