If it weren't for my children's love affair with Lightning McQueen, I would have tossed this in the garbage from the start. The underside of the contraption slips around on our floor so we had to buy additional grippers so that our children didn't slide across the floor as we were racing to get them on the potty before they had another accident all over the place during the training process. The rubber seat that lines the bowl will move on you if you don't set your child down just perfectly and you child will end up off kilter. As the seat turns both ways, we tried this potty with both our son and daughter, and you have to have both genders positioned perfectly on the potty or their urine will shoot out the front of the potty. Do not stand in front of the potty while your child is on it. Urine will also leak all over the lip of the trainer and under it so you essentially have to clean it top to bottom every single time your child uses it to make sure that you get all of the leaked urine when you are through with each trip to the potty. Make sure you have a lot of disinfectant spray and paper towels in the bathroom just for the potty clean up if you choose to use this potty. I have cleaned up more urine off the floor or the walls using this potty than when I just used a potty seat that I can put on top of our standard toilet seat. The sound part is cool, but once the kids figure out it's there, that also becomes a distraction to actually using the bathroom...I would definitely recommend you save the $20 something and the headache/frustration and get yourself a potty seat or some other training potty.

I would give this NO starts but it says I have to put one so I did. I purchased this for my 2 year old son to start potty training. When he urinates it goes in the potty but also on the floor under the potty. It is not designed for boys at all. I contacted the company and they sent me a new foam seat with an extended flange... Needless to say it was the same one that came with the potty. They would not issue my money back even though it makes a mess and my son is not able to use it. I would not waste your money. For $25.00 I could of bought two more packs of diapers and waited until I found a potty with good reviews, unfortunately my son was ready so I did not wait and bought one with characters that he loves. Only good thing about it is it makes noise :/

Do not waste your money on this product. It is not designed for a boy. Shield is not big enough, and when they go to potty, it leakes all over under the grey rubber ring, and onto the floor. I sit it on newspapers. I am going to throw it away and buy a new one. Very unsanitary, urine all over the pieces.

This is my 3rd time potty training. I have a little boy, first off this potty chair comes apart into about 5 different pieces. So you can about imagine how often it all isn't together. Next, the comfy rubber thing and comes off, so that urine gets all over underneath of it. Also the little cup to hold everything is flush with the plastic part of the seat, thus when urine gets under the rubber part, it leaks through the creases, and you have a wonderful puddle of urine on your floor instead of in the potty chair. IT is awful, sad that i wasted my money on it. I went back to walmart and bought one that looks like a dinosaur that comes in 2 pcs, that has been the best potty chair ever! and it was only $12...SEriously..even if they LOVE cars...dont buy this potty chair unless you like to clean up an extra mess.
