Step2 Mid-Town Modern Wood Play Kitchen

Ours came with two of the same pieces so we had to drill new holes in one of the boards so we could put it together. Very frustrating. I do not like the fact that when you open the oven door, if you let go the door just slams to the floor. I don't like that there are no knobs for the microwave and your not able to move the faucet around. I also feel like there should be at least one shelf in the refrigerator instead of having to throw everything in the bottom of it. My almost 2 year old still likes the kitchen a lot but there are quit a few things I would add/change. Good for small spaces.

Purchased this kitchen as a gift for my toddler. We loved the way it looked & the overall design. However, my child has special needs & I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a special needs toddler. My LO was able to pull the microwave door off & the parts are choking hazzards. If I could go back I'd choose the large plastic kitchen.

My 3 and 4 yr olds love, love this kitchen set. It took about an hour to put together.

My daughter loves this kitchen! The colors are fantastic, the knobs and faucet "work," and there's plenty of storage space. We had a different kitchen before this one, and it was just too big. This one is the perfect size for our 3-year-old! She's played with it pretty much nonstop since we got it. My husband did have a little bit of a hard time putting it together, but nothing major. We recently moved and had to leave behind our old plastic Step2 kitchen because it was so bulky. My 3 year old daughter was begging for a kitchen and she was so excited when this kitchen arrived! It's darling! The pink color goes so well with her room and I LOVE how compact it is! It fits perfectly in a corner in her room and does not take up a lot of space. It also has LOTS of storage so we are able to store a lot of our play food and pans in the kitchen instead of storing them separately. I love that it's wooden and it seems very sturdy. It looks unique and sparks a lot of imagination from my kids. The only con is that it was quite the process to put together, I timed it and it took exactly 2 hours. That was with my husband putting it together, if it had been me, it would have been a lot longer. We also were missing instructions, but that was an easy fix since they have them online. Would knowing this before hand make me not want to buy it? No way! The hours of fun that my kids get from it make it worth it. Every day my daughter proudly says, "My daddy made my kitchen for me". That makes my husband's sore knees totally worth it!
