It works fine. There is a quirk in it. Every time you go to use it you must navigate past the camera app.
This is a very cheap LG android phone that you can find just about anywhere for twenty or thirty dollars some places even less. It uses jelly bean which is a slightly outdated version of the OS and has no upgrade options just so you know. If you are looking to just use this as a phone that is fine although some of the newer apps (mostly games) in the play store are starting to drop support for jelly bean. Its 1ghz processor and 512mb of ram makes it a bit slow although usable for most of the programs I have tested just don't expect to be playing the latest games on it. The phone and contact functions work well enough and it runs the facebook app passably well. If you are the kind of person who is in a hurry however this phone isn't for you and the time it takes to boot and swap apps will annoy you. The camera is mediocre with a 3MP resolution and the picture quality is about on par with a cheapo digital camera from ten years ago. Video recording isn't much better as it records in 640x480 SD resolution, certainly usable but about as mediocre as the rest of the features on this phone. If you just want to check facebook now and then or snap pictures on the go I would recommend this phone for a cash strapped individual. Also maybe also a good gift for a young kid or your grandpa though I wouldn't give this to a teen or a tech savvy millennial. Mediocre phone is mediocre, proceed with caution.
The battery life on standby is supposedly be 12 days I have to charge every three days and I don't like the phone turning on the wyfi on its own. It drains the battery faster.
Bought this phone at Wal-Mart just over one year ago and it worked reasonably well. However, if you use this phone for calls or sending emails and texts and keep your contacts on it, or if you store music or pictures on it, BEWARE! After charging as usual the other night, I turned it on and got a message: "select language". That was all it had. Everything else... contacts, phone numbers, pictures etc. was gone. What a pain! Now it still works, mind you, but would you trust it with 50-60 contact numbers or photos you had not backed up? I never will again. I will be replacing it shortly.
delivered when said it would be. quick start guide easy to read and follow. just remember to set up voicemail before trying to send or receive texts. tech line was helpful to solve that issue. have had tracfones since 1998 and with only acouple of hiccups transferring phone number/units to another phone but resolving with a new sim card, I will stay with tracfone as I use it as a secondary phone, still have landline.
